"How are you feeling my lady?" Ladonna asked.
" The same I suppose," Kiya sighed.
"Is there anything I can do for you?"
"Why did you keep this from me?" Kiya ignored Ladonna's question.
"My past is somewhere I do not want to revisit."
"But you are like another person."
" That is what I wanted. I wanted to leave the past in the past and make a future that does not remind me of it."
"But something like the loss of a child ? That must have taken a toll on you. You knew you could share anything with me yet you kept it all to yourself. You never even mentioned you had someone that important in your life."
" I was a little younger than you when it happened. We met so casually I never thought or meeting with turn into something like that. I was just doing my daily duties outside the gates when I met him. He had one of those warm smiles and kind eyes. From the very day I set eyes on him I saw him every day there and he was the first to say hello and that is how it started and how it ended..." Ladonna took a deep breath.
"Please take your time, you do not have to force yourself to remember for me."
" I thought I was really wise at that age I thought something like this could last almost forever. I had no title to my name he did, he was a soldier, a great Warrior that fought many battles for his age. I always wondered how he could love a person like me and I always wondered how I could find something so wonderful in a person like him. Apparently forever was not written in all our fates, apparently we were not meant to be forever together. I would say it was foolish for loving him but it was the best foolish thing I have ever done in my life and I would never take it back but the events hurts so much I want to forget.I want to erase it like it never happened."
"Did he..." Kiya's voice trailed off.
"He told me he was going away for a few days and I thought it would be like any other time he went away and he would come back in the end. I never even got a chance to tell him that he would be a father. I thought it would be better to tell him when he returned but he never did.
My one chance to be a mother and have my own family disappeared in an instant and it scarred me.""Ladonna,"Kiya held her hands on comfort. You had all this inside?"
" that is why My Queen your life reminds me a little of my past . That is why you might see me as almost over protective. I just want the best for you. It is only my wish that you have everything I lost. It is only my wish that you are happy. I suppose that is the reason I talk about your feelings so much so you can realize what love is. I suppose that is why I try my hardest to keep you and My Lord on the best terms and I suppose that is why I speak about children so much because I never got to experience any of those and I wish for you to experience them all."
Kiya brought Ladonna in for a hug.
"Please know you can tell me anything."" And you will never get upset and throw things at my head?"
"That was a different situation,"Kiya chuckled.
"It was all set out for me. She loves you."
"When you say it that way ," Kiya saw Khai leaning against the wall near the door.
"Ladonna I need to have a word with Kiya."
"Yes My Lord," Ladonna bowed as she exited.
" I hate how you have no presence. You just appear and disappear at will."
"I do have a presence."
"I will believe you when you can enter a room and persons can know that you there without seeing you."
"Let me get to what I needed to say before you get any harsher."
"I am not harsh."
"Your mood is so unpredictable. "
"I threw some things one time! Only one time and the feelings were unbearable."
"I see."
"Are you going to torment me with this forever?"
"Are you saying we are going to last forever so I can do that?"
"I can imagine it now and it scares me."
"See getting harsher and I never did anything but love you."
"Ahhhh, I thought you had a question for me."
"How are you feeling?"Khai sat beside her.
"The same."
"Anything I can do to help?" He places his head in her lap and looked up at her.
"I doubt it."
"Are you sure?" He drew his words out.
"Yes I am," Kiya copies him.
"I just want to make sure you are in the best condition possible."
"He is just so stressful," Kiya groaned as she held down her head.
"He?" Khai raised his eyebrows.
"Yes he."
"Why not she?"
"It's a boy. I can tell. "
"What if he is a she ?"
"Behaving this ?"
"Be bad now and perfect later."
"What ?" Kiya cocked her head to the side. " No way. "
"Of course."
"I would know though. I have the Intuition."
"I stick with my prediction, bad now and perfect later!"
"No! It's a boy and he will be just like you . I might just have to tie him to a pillar and run away."
"That was one time! Just one!"
"I cannot know for sure now can I," Kiya shrugged.
"It does not matter whether girl or boy, he or she. The love will be the same."
