Chapter 6

The room was the size of a large house itself. With it's own kitchen and living room and balcony and three rooms. And to think, it was only a small part of Lord Eus sky scraper.

I sat down on the blue, fluffy couch in front of the large window and watched as July and Alice danced around like people in a swirling tornado. Chaotic. Thats when I spoke up, "Um...arent you guys worried about your parents?"

Alice stopped jumping around to face me, "No..they'll be fine!"

Then July stopped jumping, flounced beside me, and spoke in a hushed voice, "So....Tell us about your 'powers' "

I felt my face light up,"I don't know how to explain it! it..it was so...magical! Like nothing I have ever seen before!"

Alice pouted enviously,"Well....I bet it's not nearly as good as me and July's!"

"What!" I exclaimed, jumping up and looking in awe at my two friends, "You have powers to? but.....how??"

July sighed, "Well...Lord Eus said that if me and Alice were to stay in this world with out being stabbed in the gut by Night walkers, we would have to be like you and them...have powers..." July looked sheepishly at the floor and Alice puffed out her chest in triumph at her friends words.

I smiled, "Well...Show me what you can do."

July nodded and closed her eyes, her pink fingers curled at her sides tightly. I waited in silence. Suddenly the lights went off. All of them...Including the sun itself....I gasped as July released her tight grip around her fingers and all the lights came back on in an instant of blurring flashiness. she smiled and held out her finger to stop me from talking,"And watch this!" She concentrated on staring at the clouds and in a burst of lightning, a sweep of rain cascaded over the land in one long wash. Soon it was gone and i could hear the dripping of the last drops spilling down the roof.

"You can control weather!" I gasped.

"And electricity!" July corrected.

"Watch what I can do," Alice almost knocked July down as she ran forwards to face me. I watched in pure awe as Alice, with out any warning, sprouted large black crow wings from her back. I stared at their shining feathers, almost blue in the rays of the sun. Alice began beating her wings and all the furniture skidded across the floor, the parchment fell of the tables, the vases of water wobbled dangerously. Soon Alice was being lifted off the ground and up to the high ceiling of the roof, "Impressive, huh?"

"Yeah..Really.." I breathed, "So....did you guys get to choose your powers?"

"Yes!" July jumped forwards. I watched as Alice slowly drifted back down to the floor beside July and her Beautiful wings slowly retreat back into her back side.

Without saying a thing, I touch the wall and a line of blue roses sprouted from the polished red wall, cracking the wood down the middle. I payed no mind to the damaged wall and continued to glimmer the room up with my magical blue roses .

Alice gaped at my work,"I never knew blue roses were a thing! I just thought they were a company!"

"Yes! But I can create not just normal nature, but magical nature!" I cried, barely able to hold my excitement in.

July made a sad face, "Yeah...It's great and all...But...What about..."

"Bubble tea!" Alice finished July's sentence, "They do make bubble tea here! I saw it! But they call it Bulle Tea.....It means bubble in french.. I think so.."

I realized then that maybe I could get use to this place. If they had bubble tea..I was sure to survive. But what I didn't know was...They have only on flavor.

"OHMIGOD WHAT IS THIS!" I cried, sipping up the chunky liquid they call Bulle tea. It was nothing like bubble tea...actually quite the opposite. It was more like pudding in a cup....magic pudding.

We sat down on a weird blue bench, squishy to the touch, in a lonely court yard filled with rainbow flowers and dew covered leaves, browning from the coldness sweeping through the valley. I felt a cold finger on my shoulder and spun around, causing Alice and July to too, To see Zayne....my brother. His eyes were cold and lifeless and a couldn't help but stare. He tried his gaze from me onto July.

"Hello...July, right? Come with me....I need help in the kitchen..Tonights dinner is Carne Asada...Roast beef" He took July's arm and Me and Alice watched in surprise as they walked off together....I could almost seethe faintest of blushes on my friends face.

"Come on, Sky...I feel like flying," Alice smiled.
