Alice-I haven't seen July for a while. I'm heart broke. Where could she of gone? I keep asking all these questions in my head. sometimes I cry when I wonder if she's dead....I hope she's not dead. Sure, Jasper is there to comfort me. He's nice and I was beginning to fall for the young Sky walker, until July left...now he's just another person trying to help me. I haven't flown since we saved Mara...I can't with the sadness pushing me down like a 200 pound block of ice. And on top of it all, I'm thirsty and all the coconuts Sky conjured up our lying like empty turtle shells beside me. Simon and jasper are talking about flying rats in front of me and I'm starting to freak out. I decide to get up and ask Sky for another drink.
I turn around but gasp. Sky isn't on the island. I begin to panic. What if she's gone! what if she drowned....what if her and July are dead! No...not both of them. My vision begins to blur and I waver on the ground. No. No more sitting and dying pitifully. I have to search. Sky couldn't have gone far..if I find her..we can get off this island. I hope Mara is having good luck finding July.
I walk around the edges of the island and peer down into the crystal bleu sea, only seeing the pink coral and the sunny yellow fish darting below. I huff angrily. I turn around and stop abruptly at the foot of the cave I saved Mara out of. Maybe Sky's in there. I didn't get to look closer at the cave that day due to the smoke billowing around me, but I'm pretty sure I saw a tunnel leading down.
I peek cautiously into the cave and walk in, shivering at the sudden coldness the stone surrounding me brought. I rubbed my goose bumpy arms and ventured deeper, calling Sky's name when ever I dare to speak.
I have been walking down the tunnel for a while and I'm kinda annoyed by the occasional drops of water leaking from the cave roof. Am I under water? Suddenly I heard a noise....like rumbling....I looked behind me and screamed. The cave was collapsing and water was spilling down! I ran as fast I can forwards, hoping that it leaded up eventually. My next scream was cut off because my mouth was full of water, because there was a hole in the floor and I fell into the water.
I squinted through the water and searched for an opening that led to the surface...but it was just rock like an ocean wide roof above me. I closed my fists into balls and punched at the stone wall above me, all the while dodging floating rocks falling down from the hole I fell through. I turned my head and gasped. It was Sky! Floating In the water. Her eyes were closed and she looked.....dead! I used what power I had left in my arms and swam to her, grasped her cold body in my arms, and floated up through a sudden opening in the cave wall. We popped up on the surface and I felt her pulse. Alive. Her breathing....she wasn't breathing! I had to get to land.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I felt my wings sprout out behind me and without any second thoughts or hesitations, I shot up into the sky and went back towards the beach, were I saw Jasper and Simon waving down to us.
I landed with Sky on on the beach and pushed on her chest..nothing. I moved out of the way for Simon. He did CPR and I didn't have much time before I passed out..but I did see the mesmerizing pearl shimmering in Sky's hand.
