Chapter 51

 
Alice-

  I don't how long I've been falling, but it feels like it's been forever. I'm almost use to the feeling and the fact that I will die this way. I've tried swimming through the air towards the cliff wall, but I'm falling too fast. I have my wings in my hands and I'm not letting go, I was using them to hug and drown the sounds of my friends screaming. But now I can't hear them anymore......I have to forget them.
 
  Suddenly I feel the sound of deep throated masculine screaming, that in some way sounds like a male version of Sky's voice. Then Zayne, her brother, falls right beside me and looks at me in shock. He covers his face with his hands, he's obviously trying not to cry in front of me.
 
  "Zayne!!" I scream to him as loudly as I can, but he doesn't hear me. He's looking up, squinting really, at something and smiling broadly. I look up too and noticed Jasper coming down and...flying? He has wings! I feel him lift me and Zayne up and drop us on the ground on the other side of the bridge. Then I watch him rescue the others from the breaking bridge too, and my heart leaps into my throat, my face burns as I look at my savior. He saved me....
 
  "Alice!!!!!" July and Sky run to me and envelope me in a tight hug. Jasper comes forwards and I gasp as he does the unexpected, hugs me. I can't resist what's been hiding in me all along....I love Jasper. I give him a kiss that he does not resist and chuckle at all the shocked looks on my friends faces.
 
  "Sky nudges Simon playfully, "Guess you were wrong about the boys. "
 
   Simon raises his eyebrows "You didn't know I was kidding?"
 
  Sky blushes and comes forwards to give me another hug.
 
  "Let's go to Ezra's now....Zayne...Which way?" I say strongly, hefting my wings onto my shoulders.

  Zayne points forwards towards a forest of fog and plants so dense I was worried that maybe I will get stuck in the shrubs. But I had to get my wings back. I led our group forwards with Jasper by my side. I needed my wings now.
