"What should we do...were not getting anywhere! I bet there already catching up to us!" Simon paced back and forth on the beach, his black soled convers from earth kicking up crystals of sand from the hearth. Me, July, and Alice were just sitting on the sand playing around with the small crustaceans, watching them with interest as they dug tiny holes to hide from our rummaging hands.
"Well...I guess we could fly across the ocean.what with my wings and all!" Alice smiled, sitting up straighter to prove to us that she wold be capable of the task.
"No..do you realize how tiring that would be, Alice!" Simon shook his head vigorously and continued pacing.
July stood up and rolled her eyes at the sad group, "I think we need to build a boat...Alice..I vouch you to collect food from the forest! Me and Sky will find seaweed from the ocean...and Simon will..uh..Simon will get a bunch of driftwood!"
leave it to July to spring up with a witty idea.
"What if i get lost!" Alice cried.
"Hush!, " July waved her hand nonchalantly,"You have wings! If you get lost you can just fly up really high and spot the beach were we are!"
"Fine....fine" Alice flung her hands up in the air in exasperation as she walked slowly back towards the forest. This was not going to be easy.
