"Alice!!!!" We all seemed to scream in unison, We grabbed the rails and leaned over the sides, causing the rope to wobble dangerously. We were panicking harder as Alice's scream began to get more faint as she fell deeper.
"Do something!" July screamed to no one in particular. But there was nothing to be done.
"We can't help her, July! Nothing can.... I knew Zaynes stupid idea to See Ezra was....Stupid!!!" Simon spat, his face red with anger.
But Zayne wasn't listening to what Simon was saying
"Zayne!" I yelled at him. That was when we noticed Zayne has fallen too....
"Stay here...." Jasper's cold voice said eerily.
"Jasper....How can you save them...?" I said, my mind in a blur of thoughts as Jasper ripped off his shirt and touched his fingers to a pulsating blue glow where his heart is.
We watched amazed as beautiful Midnight blue wings sprouted from the evil lords sons back. With out any second thought, he plummeted down after Alice and Zayne.
As he was concealed below the fog July turned to me, her face a look of shock,
"He...They..."
"Midnight warmth......" Simon sighed with a smirk, "It only happens to the people of Obsidian. If you love someone who is in danger.....the blue glow from his heart will provide you with a gift that allows you to save them. Of course the gift vanishes after you save them....but it is the only thing about the Obsidian people that make them sound sane."
"But Alice...." July stuttered.
"People grow up...." I said softly, thinking of my friend and the Obsidian prince together, "I think Alice and Jasper sound like a sweet couple."
"Yeah?" Simon smirked, "But what if it's Zayne Jasper loves."
