I never realized how horrifying behind the boba house at night could be until now. Me, standing in a blue black ally way, knife in hand, back to the the great big blue dumpster...waiting for the 'dude' who gave me my notes to come and consult me with a possibly loaded sniper (Hopefully my imagination is getting the best of me).

I gasped at every little noise made in the dark. The late night gray squirrel scurrying around the drain pipes in search for a mid night snack, The splish splash of hour old rain drops falling off roof tops, the unmistakable noise of Alice's petit sneeze. Alice's petit sneeze!!!

I whirled around to find myself face to face with Alice and July. I loosened my grip on the knife an looked at my friends shocked faces at being caught in the act of following their friend around.

"Guys! I told you not to come!" I cried.

July spoke first, "Come on, Sky! You really think were gonna let you possibly die by your self!?"

I smiled and gave them both hugs, "I'm glad you guys never listen to me."

"Beautiful..there's more of you," A sly male voice dripping with sarcasm spoke behind us. All three of us spun around at the voice and gasped at the figure before us. The tall slender teenage boy with the slick black hair, red gleaming eyes, and sharp teeth glared at us from the shadows.

"Who are you!" I cried, pointing my knife menacingly at him.

He cackled dangerously and with a  flick of his white finger, I felt with horror my knife slip out of my hand and fall with a  clatter on the cobbled walk way, "Your no match for me, so you better listen."

Alice whimpered behind me and I heard July hurry to quiet her as I spoke, "Who are you?"

"I'm the one that's been sent to take you back home, Sky.....Back to your world," He smiled, "My name is Zayne."

I gasped and tear stung my eyes as my very own parents stepped out of the darkness to stand beside Zayne, "Mom! Dad!"

Zayne smiled"They were never your real parents, Sky....they were just guardians to watch over you until the time, which is tonight, that you will be coming home to 'Monde de demain'....your home that you left because of the war. Now that the war is over, you can come back....sister."

"Wha...." I felt tears sting my eyes at the strange boys words.

"Unfortunately, we did not know you had friends coming....So we cannot wipe their memories....We'll have to take them to," Zayne spoke softly before throwing a spinning ball of red liquid at them, blinding them and sending all of them through a time warping circus of colors. Until all I could see was darkness. Then the light....and then the trees.
