Chapter 31

July-

   I woke up surrounded by a hazy green shadow...more like a curtain of shimmering reeds, almost exactly like a curtain of shimmering reeds, billowing around me, protecting me from what ever was outside waiting for me. I felt safe, although I knew I was no where familiar. I sat up and placed my hands on the silky smooth surface below me. I look down and bring up a brownish handful of smooth mud. I'm on what appears to be on the ocean floor. I look up at the glimmering water above me, the sun rays of the sky so far above, swimming down to keep me warm. How is this possible that I can breath in this atmosphere. This amazing place that I so know to be the ocean. The lively ocean that carries the blue streaked fish darting above me, camouflaged in the water. I breath in. I can not fight the smile. In some way...it's better than breathing air. It feels like freedom is swimming in your vains..not blood. For a minute, I just sit there and breath.

   Then I remember what happened....why I am here. After I found myself alone on the wooden raft, a nasty storm brewed...and no matter how much to calm it down with my powers, it became stronger and tossed me under the waves were I was saved by that same mermaid I saw under the water earlier.  I feel like my attitude should be confused....but I'm not.

   I do remember, on my way here, floating past a long row of coral cages holding what looked liked human captives. One human prisinor in this human underwater jail caught my eyes....becuase he looked exactly like Zayne, Sky's brother.
