Disclaimer- Abraham's daughter's name is Bree; Sasha is apart of Abraham's army and is married to Abraham. Rosita and Abraham are basically like brother and sister. And Eugene is still just Eugene 😂
Language warning
I stared out the window of our military vehicle while Eugene talked Rosita's ear off about making our own bullets or some shit like that.
I glanced up at my dad who was in the driver's seat.
"Mom?" I said, looking to my left.
My mom turned to me.
"Do you think we're actually gonna make it to Washington?" I asked quietly so my dad wouldn't hear me.
She smiled. "Of course we will, honey," she assured. I leaned my head on her shoulder while she stroked my hair.
I still remember the exact day that we found Eugene. My parents and I had saved him from a couple of walkers and we were about to leave when he called for us to come back. He told us that he had a mission. He had to get to Washington D.C. Said he was a scientist and he knew what caused all of this. I could see light come back into my dad's eyes and getting Eugene to D.C. has been his mission ever since. We had found Rosita soon after.
"Son of a bitch," my dad chuckled before slowing the vehicle to a stop.
My mom and I gathered to the front to see what he was looking at.
A guy was laying passed out on the road, covered in armor, while a woman was fighting off a group of walkers.
"Jesus," I breathed.
As she got down to the last few, my dad took the keys out and grabbed his machine gun.
"Bree," he said, turning to me. "You stay in here."
"No," I whispered. "I'm gonna help."
"Let her go, Abraham," my mom stepped in. "She'll be alright."
He looked like he was about to protest, but finally decided against it.
I smiled slightly and grabbed my gun.
As me, my parents, Eugene, and Rosita clambered out of the vehicle, the woman turned toward us.
"Hope you enjoyed the show, assholes!" she yelled, though there was clear fear in her voice.
All of us walked out into the front of the car, everyone fanning out behind my dad as he held his gun so it was aiming at the sky as it laid against his chest.
He sighed. "You got a damn mouth on you, you know that?" he asked. "What else you got?"

Author's Note: I decided to write this story for a few reasons. 1. I miss Abraham so much 2. I thought it would be kinda cool to really see how he would be different with a kid. 3. Lia Marie Johnson's new song DNA gave me a lot of inspiration for this story.
