After getting off gate watch, I went to find Carl.
I found him playing with Judith on his porch.
"Hey," I called, walking over. "Where are Glenn, Rosita, Michonne, and Daryl? I haven't seen them all day."
He stood up. "Oh, I heard Daryl drove off unexpectedly and Glenn, Rosita, and Michonne went after him."
"What?" I asked in shock. "Are you serious?"
He nodded. "Yeah, I'm sure they'll be back soon."
I threw my hands up. "And once again, you're not worried about a d*mn thing. I gotta go."
I ran over to the gate to see my dad on watch.
"Dad!" I called. "What happened?"
He sighed and told me pretty much exactly what Carl told me.
I stared at him, dumbfounded. "So you're telling me that you let them leave, and you have no idea where they are?!"
He didn't respond and I took a deep breath.
"Okay, I'm gonna go find them."
I turned to go to the armory but my dad immediately stopped me by grabbing my shoulders.
"Darlin', I know that you're Bree Save-The-Day Ford, but you need to stay here. They'll be okay and we need you here."
I closed my eyes and exhaled, giving in. "Okay."
"And, I don't want you to freak out...but Carol's missing, too."
My head snapped up. "What?!"
"Don't worry," he assured. "Rick and Morgan are out looking for her."
I took a few shaky breaths. "I won't go out, but I'm joining your watch."
As I climbed up, I heard him call, "You just got off watch!"
"Don't care!" I called back.
And that was the end of the conversation.
