i love this necklace very much. i've had it since around freshman year of high school (i'm a junior now btw), and now that it also belongs to a character i love so much, it means so much more to me :)

ok, origin of bree. so i was watching the season 7 premiere of twd, specifically the scene where the group is kinda left on their own when negan leaves. everyone was grieving so much over glenn and i started thinking about what it would be like if abraham has a daughter. and i actually envisioned a scene where she walked away from the group and fell to her knees just like abraham did when he found out eugene wasn't a scientist. that scene, unfortunately, didn't make it into the actual story. i really wanted to include it but it just didn't fit the flow of the chapter. i didn't have a name for her, i didn't know who she was really, but i really liked the idea. so i started writing and i got to know and love her through that. and i love her very much.

alright, time for the q&a!!!

q: how will bree cope with the loss of her parents and the love of her life?
a: in terms of her parents, she's been dealing with their absence for a while now. she will always love and miss them very much, but her way of coping is keeping them in her heart and trying to carry on their legacy. as for carl, the loss of him is very fresh and she's absolutely crushed and heartbroken. he was her soulmate and, after the loss of her parents and glenn, her everything. she will go through a lot of misdirection as she figures out how to deal with it, but she's incredibly strong. she will find a way.

q: do you feel connected to bree in any way?
a: absolutely. i have lived with her for a couple years now. and the reason i use the term "lived with" is because she is like a real person to me. i gave bree a lot of characteristics that i wish i had, such as her strength, resilience, and her capacity to love. i feel like bree's one of my best friends, as sad as that is 😂.

q: what was the hardest scene to write?
a: really any scene where bree loses someone she's close to for two main reasons. it's really hard to put her through a lot of pain bc i care about her so much, and also it's hard to put the emotions you feel when you lose a loved one into words. it's hard to not make it sound cheesy or fake.

q: was bree actively trying to become a leader before rick made her one?
a: absolutely not. bree respects rick a lot and she would never try to challenge his authority. but the thing about bree is she's very protective. she will do anything to protect the people that she cares about and if that means stepping into a leadership role, that's what she does. people just seem to like to listen to her bc they know she knows what she's doing. rick noticed that and took advantage of it.

alright that's the end, if any of you have any more questions, pls ask them and i will respond as best as i can! ❤️
