You and Jay had been close friends for a while and today was the day he finally agreed to let you investigate with him and the crew. He was helping you strap on a GoPro while you were doing a final check on your cameras. "Alright, you are good to go. Remember what I said: don't do anything to provoke the spirits, be aware of what's going on, and call out if you need anything. I'm gonna be watching the whole time." "Yeah yeah Jay, I know! You've told me already." You smiled and he gave a small one in return. You could tell he was nervous so you put your hand on his shoulder. "Jay, relax. I'm going to be okay and you're right here so if anything happens, you'll be right there." He sighed and placed his hand over yours. "Be careful please." "I always am. Now where am I heading first?" Jay sighed and went to sit down behind the computers. "You're going to the master bedroom. Have fun." You took a deep breath and sent Jay a wink before walking inside. The silence was deafening. You could hear your heart banging against your chest, whether it was from excitement or fear you couldn't tell but you didn't really care. You walked upstairs to the master bedroom and sat down on the bed. You pulled out your recorder and laid it on the bed next to you. "Hello? Is anybody in here?" Your eyes slowly adjusted to the dark and you looked around. "It's okay if you want to talk to me. My name's (Y/N). What's yours?" You sat there for a little before sighing and resting your head against the backboard. "Are you here by yourself? I bet it gets kind of lonely. Do you want to play a game?" You heard shuffling come from the hallway and sat up. "It's okay if you're trying to come inside. What's your name?" You heard a knock come from the door and you smiled. "I'm not sure what that means but I have this cool recorder thing here and if you want to say something all you have to do is talk into this red dot here and then I'll be able to hear you." You held up the recorder and placed it at the end of the bed. "How did you die?" You felt the room get colder and you rubbed your arm. "Are you the one making it colder?" You saw a shadow sprint across the wall in front of you and you pushed back against the board. "Um I'm not here to hurt you. I just wanted to talk. I can go if you want, just give me a sign." The room went silent and you started to feel uncomfortable. "Jay, I'm not feeling too good about this." You said quietly. You didn't hear anything in response on the walkie so you assumed he hadn't heard you. Just as you were about to call out to Jay again you felt a burning sensation go down your stomach. You screamed and rolled onto your side. "Jay! Jay!" You heard footsteps storming up the stairs and the next thing you saw was Jay storming into the room. "(Y/N)! Oh my god what happened?" You sat up and groaned. "I-I was asking questions and then it got really quiet and I felt really uneasy and the next thing I know, I felt a burning in my stomach." Jay's eyes widened and he look over his shoulder to look at the rest of the crew before turning back to you. "We need to get you out of here. Just relax, okay?" You nodded and felt him scoop you up and into his arms. He slowly walked you down the stairs and out to the command center. He sat you down in a chair and you hissed. "I'm sorry (Y/N), but I need to see your stomach." You nodded your head and he grabbed the hem of your shirt before slowly raising it up just below your bra. You sighed as his cold hands made contact with your hot skin. "(Y/N)... don't move. I'm gonna go grab the first aid kit." He stood up and jogged to the corner before coming back and opening the kit. "I knew this was a bad idea. I told you so." You sighed and watched as he cleaned your scratches while mumbling. You felt your eyes get heavy and you yawned. "Jay, you're making me tired with your mumbling." He chuckled and pulled your shirt down before picking you up and carrying you out to the van. He payed you out across the seat and draped his jacket over you before placing a kiss on your forehead. "Good night, princess." You smirked and readjusted to a more comfortable position. "Good night, Jay."
