Zak Bagans (requested)

You took a deep breath as you walked further into the building you were investigating. You and the crew were investigating an old hospital and you had decided to split into two groups to cover more ground; you and your fiancé, Zak, took the children's ward. You let your eyes adjust to the dark and you could make out outlines of the debris scattered around. You were getting weird vibes from the building and it made you uncomfortable. "Katniss, I think we should take different ends of the hallway." You looked at him. "I don't think that's a good idea..." He grabbed your hand and gently squeezed it. "It'll be okay. I'm close by if anything happens." You sighed and started walking down the hall. "He so owes me for this." You mumbled. You pulled out your recorder and stood in the middle of the hall. You could faintly hear Zak talking from the other end of the building and it somewhat calmed you down. "Is there anyone here?" You waited a few moments. "What's your name?" You heard shuffling from behind you, so you quickly turned around. "Hello?" It was quiet again and you felt goosebumps form over your arms. "I just want to talk to you. Are you one of the kids from this ward? Did you die here?" You saw a shadow figure move from the corner of your eye before a piece of wood cane flying past your head. You screamed and ducked out of the way. "Zak! Zak!" You screamed and felt tears start to build up. You started running towards Zak but it was so hard to see in the dark. "Kat! Katniss, where are you!" You saw Zak running towards you with his flashlight on. You grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the building. "Katniss, stop. Stop! What happened?" You stopped and hugged him as tight as you could. "I was asking questions when I saw a shadow move and then a piece of wood flew by. I think it was aiming at my head!" You said as more tears started to flow down your face. He held you close and stroked your hair trying to get you to calm down. "Shh, it's okay. I've got you." You stayed like that for a few minutes before he pulled back. He wiped the tears from your cheeks and you tried to even out your breathing. "I've got you, Katniss. I'm not gonna let anything hurt you, okay?" You nodded and he kissed your forehead. "Let's get back to command so you can get some water." He wrapped an arm around your waist and walked you back to command. Once there, you took a seat, handed Billy your camera, and Zak handed you some water. You took a few sips before exhaustion came over you. You looked over and saw Billy and Zak going over the footage. Sure enough you had caught the wood flying past you on camera as well as a deep laugh. You shivered and Zak came over to you. "It's over, okay? You're not going back inside. In fact, I think it's time to call it a night before somebody gets hurt." Zak stated before calling everyone back. "Zak, I'm sorry." You mumbled. "Hey, there's nothing to be sorry about. I'm just happy you're safe." You smiled and kissed him. For the first time that night, you felt safe and you relished in the fact that it was Zak that made you feel this way. You smiled and helped the rest of the crew get packed up.
