You and Aaron were in charge of setting up cameras on the 2nd floor, but it was taking longer than normal because Aaron wouldn't stop making stupid jokes. "Wait I've got another one." You groaned and set the tri pod down on the floor. "Aaron, we aren't gonna get set up if you don't stop talking." "Knock knock." You rolled your eyes. "Who's there?" "Interrupting cow." "Interrupting-" "Mooooo!!" You both broke out into a fit of laughter. "Hey, what the the hell are you guys doing?" You looked over and saw Zak standing at the top of the stairs. "I'm sorry. Aaron won't stop making stupid jokes and it's taking us a little longer to get set up." You said between giggles. "Aaron, shut up." "Wait what! Dude I have so many more jokes though." "Let's finish getting set up and then you can tell me." You said and Aaron gave you a smile. "Prepare to laugh your socks off, (Y/N)." He said before wandering off to set up a camera. You looked back at Zak and saw he was staring at you. He cleared his throat and started to walk back down the stairs. Zak never said more than a few words to you and you didn't know why because he was so close with everybody else. You had started to develop feelings for him a few months ago but you knew it was never gonna work, not if he was gonna keep you at a distance. You got back to setting up and before you knew it, Aaron was back with his jokes. You both walked down to nerve center in a fit of giggled but quickly pulled yourselves together when you saw everyone staring at you. "Alright, Jay you'll be in here, Billy will be with me, Aaron and (Y/N) will be taking the basement first." You felt a chill go down your spine and quickly turned around only to see nothing. You shrugged it off and turned back around to grab your camera. You and Aaron made your way down to the basement and you immediately had a bad feeling about this. You felt like you were being watched and it made you uncomfortable. "Is anybody down here?" You called out. You were greeted with silence but the air felt like it was super charged. "We just want to talk. Who's here?" You heard nothing. Aaron pulled out the spirit box and started asking questions. "Is there somebody here you don't want in the house?" "Zak." You both looked at each other. "What do you want to do to him?" You asked nervously. "Gone." "Who are you?" Silence filled the air. "I'm not feeling too good." You whispered. "Zozo." The voice was dark and the laugh that followed wasn't too pleasant either. You both looked at each other before you grabbed your walkie talkie. "Zak? Zak, come in." Nobody responded. "Billy? Where are you guys?" "On the second floor. Why?" "Do you have Zak with you?" "No he wanted to investigate the first floor." "Meet us on the first floor. Zak's in trouble." You both ran up the stairs and looked around for Zak. The house was uneasily quiet and you didn't like it. You turned the corner and saw Zak sitting in chair in the living room. "Zak? You okay?" He didn't respond, but he started to drum his fingers on the arm rest. "Guys I found him!" You yelled before slowly moving closer. "Zak? What are you doing?" His fingers stopped drumming and he slowly stood up. "I've always wondered what it would feel like to do this." He said slowly. You noticed his voice was deeper. "Do what?" He turned to face you and a wicked grin grew on his face. "Get into Zak's head." You heard footsteps behind you and you turned to see the rest of the guys, including Jay, walk in. You quickly turned back to Zak and saw that he was closer now. You scrambled backwards causing him to laugh. "My, my you are a pretty thing. I understand now what Zak is thinking." You looked at him confused. You were going to say something when Aaron grabbed you around your waist and pulled you back behind him while Jay stepped forward. "I demand you to leave Zak's body at once." Zak laughed and you felt a chill run down your spine. "Aaron, that's not Zak." You whispered. "Yeah I kind of figured." You rolled your eyes. "I meant he's possessed. By Zozo." Aaron looked at you and you heard Zak laugh. "Aren't you the clever one, (Y/N)." "Jay, that's Zozo." Jay's eyes widened and before Zak could step forward, Jay held up a cross. "Zozo, I demand you leave his body." Zak stopped and stared at you. "I'll see you around, (Y/N)." And with that, Zak slumped down to his knees while gripping his head. You ran forward and held him. "Zak? Zak, wake up." He groaned and slowly looked at you. "(Y/N)?" You felt tears start to roll down your cheeks. "Thank god you're alright." You said before pulling him into a hug. "What happened?" "You were possessed." His eyes went wide. "I didn't hurt anybody, did I?" "No, you didn't. Are you okay?" "Yeah. I'm fine." He slowly got to his feet and you helped him stand. You both walked outside to get some air and ended up sitting in the driveway looking at the stars. "I'm sorry." You whispered. He looked over at you in confusion. "I'm sorry for whatever I did to make you not like me." "What are you talking about?" You stared down at your hands. "I don't know. Ever since I joined the team, you've been distant. Everybody else has gotten close but you, and I don't know why but if it's something I did the. I'm sorry." Zak sighed and grabbed your hand. "You didn't do anything. I was just scared I was gonna say something stupid to you and embarrass myself. And when I saw you and Aaron get closer I thought I was too late." "I don't-" You were cut off by him pressing his lips to yours. You were shocked at first but slowly kissed back. When you pulled back for air, Zak was smiling. "I wanted to do that since the moment I met you, but I thought you and Aaron were a thing because you're always together." You chuckled and shook your head. "He's my best friend and nothing more." Zak let out a sigh of relief. "Good, because this would be really awkward right now." You both laughed. "I was wondering if you wanted to grab something to eat sometime?" You blushed. "Yeah, I'd like that a lot." He squeezed your hand stood up, pulling you up with him. "Let's go back inside. I think the guys are worried about us." He said before you both headed back to the house, hand in hand.
