"I can't believe I'm actually letting you do this right now." Your brother, Zak, mumbled while attaching a Go Pro to your chest. The crew had returned to Poveglia Island and somehow you had convinced your brother and your boyfriend, Aaron, to let you come along this time. You had seen the videos and the effects that island had on these guys but that didn't faze you. You were determined to do this investigation and nothing was going to stop you. "You're doing it because you love me and know that I'm only here to help you." He sighed and looked you in the eyes. "Don't do anything stupid, you hear me? God mom is gonna kill me." You chuckled and punched his shoulder lightly. "I'll be fine. Besides, I've got you and Aaron going in with me, so I've got nothing to worry about and neither should you." He patted our head before heading inside. You felt someone hold your hand and you looked over to see it was Aaron. "Ready, princess?" You took a deep breath and let it out. "As ready as ever." And with that, you followed Zak into the building. You did a few EVP sessions, a few spirit box sessions, and even tried the rem pods but it seemed that the spirits didn't want to come out and play. "What the hell is going on. You guys got so much activity last time you were here it was scary, what's different now?" You mumbled while looking around. "There's a woman with us this time." You heard Aaron say. Suddenly, you felt a harsh pounding in your skull. You hissed and grabbed your head before sitting down. "(Y/N)? (Y/N)! What's wrong, what's going on?" You heard Aaron say but you were in too much pain to respond. And just as fast as it came, it was gone. But you felt... different. You felt like air and had no control of your body- like you were watching from your body but had no control of what was happening. "(Y/N)? Are you okay? What the hell happened?" You looked over and saw Zak kneeling down beside you. "Nothing. Just hit my head on the wall, sorry." You're voice sounded slightly deeper and you knew you hadn't said that. You felt your heart rate speed up in realization- you were possessed. "Guys! Help! Please, this isn't me!" You tried to say but nothing come out. You felt your body jerk left and slam Aaron into the wall. "Woah (Y/N), take it easy. You okay?" Your head tilted to the side and a sinister grin grew on your face. "Just peachy." Suddenly your hands were around his throat and he was clawing at your hands. You tried to stop but you had no control. You felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist and pull you back. You made some sort of inhuman growling noise before Zak pushed you up against the wall. You felt yourself return to your body and the pressure from the beating hit you like a train. You crumpled to the ground and held your head. "Oh my god, oh my god, what the actual hell." You cried while trying to calm the pressure in your head. "(Y/N)? Is that really you?" You looked up and winced when you saw a light in your face. "Ow! What the hell! Get that out of my face!" The light shifted to the floor and you attempted to stand up using the wall as your support. The guys made no move to help you, they just stared at you in both shock and horror. "I think I was possessed. It was just like what those people we interviewed said they felt only a million times worse. God, does anybody have any aspirin or something." At that, Zak quickly rushed to you and engulfed you in a bear hug. "Thank god you're alright. You scared the hell out of us! What was it like?" You hit his back as hard as you could until he released you. "I just told you I was possessed and you want to know what it was like?" You scoffed and rubbed your neck. You heard shuffling and saw Aaron make his way to you. You saw a purple-bluish ring start to form around his neck and you felt your heart break. "Oh my god, Aaron. I'm so sorry, I had no control of my body. I tried to get it to stop but it was like I was powerless." You cried and he took you into his arms. He stroked your hair and placed a kiss on the top of your head while mumbling soothing words in your ear. "It's okay, (Y/N). I know that wasn't you, I'm just glad you're okay. I think we need to get out of here." You nodded your head in agreement before scrambling towards the exit. As you were walking to the boat hours after you had packed up your gear and vouched to never come back again, you looked back at the building and saw a shadow staring out from one of the windows. You shuddered and quickly got on the boat, taking a seat next to Aaron. "You alright?" He said while holding your hand. You offered him a weak smile before resting your head on his shoulder. "I don't think I'll ever be alright again. I almost killed you, Aaron." "But you didn't. We're going to get through this. I promise." You looked up at him and saw him looking at you with more love and adoration you've ever seen. "I love you, Aaron." He kisses you before settling back into the seat to take a nap. "I love you too, (Y/N)." He mumbled before slipping into sleep.
