You and Aaron have been best friends ever since you were in diapers; you're parents used to joke that you were practically inseparable. So naturally when Aaron and his friends Nick and Zak approached him about pursuing investigating the paranormal, you encouraged him to go. That was 4 years ago, and now you only saw him on special occasions or the rare times he was home. Sure you guys skyped and texted all the time, but it's not the same as seeing that goofy grin in person. Since then, you started your own paranormal crew in Las Vegas and it was slowly starting to become more known throughout the nation. You were getting ready to head out on an investigation when your phone rang. "This is (Y/N)." "(Y/N)! It's me Aaron! I'm in town and I was wondering if you wanted to hang?" You sighed and slipped your jacket on. "I wish I could, but I'm getting ready to go to work. Maybe tomorrow?" You crossed your fingers and hoped luck was on your side. "Yeah, okay that works. I'll pick you up for lunch tomorrow. Have fun at work." He hung up and you sighed while grabbing your gear and walking out the door towards your car. Once at the location, one of the older hospitals in the state, you saw there was an extra car parked in the parking lot. You locked your door and met up with the rest of your crew. "Hey Alice, who's car is that?" She glanced up from the camera and shrugged before going back to work. You walked over to the front of the old hospital and greeted the owner. "Thanks again so much for letting us investigate." You said while hugging her. "Oh it's not a problem at all. I could really use some answers and I'm just hoping you'll find them for me." "Do you by chance know who's car that is?" You pointed at the extra car and she smiled. "Oh that belongs to a young man. I think his name was Aaron, he said that he was looking for you." Your eyes grew wide and you thanked the lady before running over to nerve center. You threw the door open and saw Aaron standing there. You rushed over and hugged him. He hugged you back and you laughed. "What are you doing here?! I didn't expect to see you! Gosh it's been how long since the last time I saw you?" "It's been too long I'll tell you that. Plus I wanted to surprise you, maybe come investigate with you. That is if you say yes, of course." You smiled and lightly punched his shoulder. "You don't even have to ask. You're more than welcome to investigate anytime." He smiled and grabbed a camera. "Well then, let's get started." You grabbed your camera and set off inside the building. It was a very eventful night. You and Aaron had gotten some class A EVPs and you were so excited to see the footage. "Alright team, that was one hell of an investigation. Go home and get some well deserved sleep, look over the footage, and we'll reconvene on Thursday to go over everything." You said and everybody said their goodbyes. "Hey (Y/N), I was wondering if I could crash at your house for tonight, you know since you're closer." "Yeah of course!" He smiled and helped you load up the cars and followed behind you as you drive home. He parked on the street and jogged up to your front porch. "So this is la casa de (Y/N) I've heard so much about." You laughed and opened the door. You walked around and turned on some lights before jogging upstairs and changing into some sweats and a t shirt. You walked across the hallway and made sure the guest room was made up for Aaron. Once finished you walked down the stairs and saw Aaron looking at the wall of pictures in the living room. "You took all of these?" He asked as you walked over to him. "Yep. They're pretty cool right?" He turned to you with a look of shock on his face. "(Y/N) these are some of the best pieces of photo evidence I've ever seen!" You blushed and walked into the kitchen to grab some water for the both of you. "Hey I'm gonna head up for the night." You said as you walked back. He looked up from a photo of you and him as kids during the summer. He placed the photo back down and took one of the waters. "Okay, good night. I'll see you tomorrow." "Goodnight." You said while walking up the stairs. After finally settling down under the covers, you heard footsteps make their way towards your door, you looked over and saw the door creak open a little. "(Y/N), are you still awake?" "I am now." He walked in and shut the door. "Can I sleep in here?" You blushed and scooted over to the other side of the bed. He jumped in and pulled you close to him. "Hey (Y/N), can I tell you something?" You simply hummed in response, sleep slowly taking over. He leaned in and his breath tickled your neck. "I love you. I always have and I always will." You snuggled deeper into his chest. "Hey Aaron, I love you too."
