It had been almost three weeks and by this point, Lucy was just able to stand by herself, glad to be rid of the wheelchair and by next week she'd be aloud back on missions. Lucy winced as she sat down beside Wyatt who'd been flipping through some random files Agent Christopher, she found him doing that from time to time, curing his boredom but she wasn't arguing, these were files about history.
Wyatt sent her a smile as she sat down beside him, but she heard a faint voice call her name, exchanging a confused look with Wyatt. He stood, extending a hand for her to take and placed a hand on the small of her back to help her up, then they headed out to find the source of the call. Both of their eyebrows shot up seeing Noah, Wyatt had never met him but he could tell it was him, it was just how he pictured him. Lucy sent Wyatt a look."What the hell is he doing here?" She muttered her tone annoyed, she headed as fast as she could down to him, just as Mason and a couple security appeared to shoo him out. His eyes landed on Lucy and he let out a breath. "Noah? What are you doing here?"
"Carol told me what happened, why didn't you tell me? For godsake its been three weeks almost," Noah questioned, the look of hurt crossing his expression. Lucy felt bad for not saying anything for so long, but her mother had no right. She'd told her not to tell Noah. Lucy felt Wyatt stand beside her, so close that their shoulders were brushing. "God, I should be mad but are you okay?"
Lucy cleared her throat before answering, hating that everyone was watching them seem as security had appeared. "I'm fine Noah, we really can't be in here."
"You were shot, I hardly think your fine, why are you at work?" Noah sighed, pushing the security guards aside and stepping forward trying to take Lucy's hands, she didn't retract them but she tensed under his touch. "Why didn't you tell me Luc?"
She averted her eye contact to the floor, not sure what to say. "I don't know." That was all she could think of saying, Noah let out a small sigh before pulling her into a hug. Wyatt glared at the man, he could see Lucy was uncomfortable but he couldn't just step in, it would make Lucy suspicious. He sighed heavily, walking past the pair and Mason and his guards. Lucy saw him over Noah's shoulder and pulled out of the hug, ignoring the sharp pain that came from moving fast. "Where are you going?" She called up to Wyatt, who was already halfway to the wardrobe. Wyatt looked back.
"To get ready." Wyatt called back flatly, it ached him seeing her with Noah, even though he knew she had no feelings for him. Lucy's eyebrows furrowed, they didn't have a mission, she thought.
"But we don't ha-" Just as she said it Christopher appeared.
"Wyatt! Rufus! Flynn just time—woah! Who is this? Why is he here?" Christopher frowned, pointing to Noah who looked to her. Confused by her just as much as she was confused by him and his presence. Lucy muttered something under her breath.
"I'm sorry, it wasn't planned, he just showed up." Lucy told her, trying to explain. "Noah, go, now like I said, you can't be here."
"I'm not going, whats so important? If you—"
"Security, get him out of here!" Christopher demanded, she directed Lucy to follow her. Noah wasn't to pleased with getting escorted out but she wasn't going to stop them. "That's the fiancé?"
"Yeah, he uh—I distanced myself from him but it looks like my mum went behind my back," Lucy sighed, running a hand through her hair.
"Well you'll have to warn him not to return to the premise unless invited, now go change." Christopher ordered, making Lucy look up at her in slight shock of her words.
"But you said I'm not allo—" Lucy started before Christopher cut in.
"We'll need you for this one, but you should be safe, not too much moving around. You'll be given coms so you can speak to Wyatt and Rufus, you'll need to do research, try going around and finding out what you can your instructions will be in the folder." Christopher told her, Lucy felt a sense of relief that she got to join Wyatt and Rufus again but she was afraid of going back through time again, being a burden because she wouldn't be able to run if they needed her too. "Now. Go and change Lucy, your already behind."
Lucy nodded obediently and headed to wardrobe, a women directed her to the year for 1605, she put the pieces together, and gave the women a look. "Guy Fawkes, what could Flynn want to do with Guy Fawkes trying to kill King James I?"
"Who ever knows what Flynn wants?" The woman spoke before turning on her heels and leaving. Lucy gnawed on her lip, she thought she'd miss time travelling but nope, not anymore. She looked at the selection of clothes she had to choose from, all of them much like the 17th century. She could only imagine what Wyatt and Rufus were wearing. She ran her hand along the racks selection of clothing, but ended up picking out a light green dress that didn't look to tight on her so that it wouldn't hurt. She slipped into the dress, leaving her clothes in the room that she changed in as she always did and got her hair and make up done, her hair was up in a old fashioned detailed bun, braids within it and many bobbi pins to keep it all together and then headed up to the time ship, interrupting what looked like an argument between Wyatt, possibly Rufus and Christopher, but as soon as they caught sight of her they fell silent. She knew it was probably about her but brushed it off.
"Let's go find Flynn, shall we?" Lucy said, tilting her heas towards the boys, not wanting them to carry on arguing with Agent Christopher. Wyatt frowned.
"I feel like an idiot in this, why did men ever think it was a good idea to wear these tights?" Wyatt grumbled, trying to give him room and Lucy couldn't help but laugh, she was pretty happy with what she got to wear and she couldn't help but laugh at Wyatt and Rufus. Wyatt was forced to wear a cream suit, but he'd refused to wear anything on his head knowing it'll make him look even worse. Rufus was in a similar get up except his was an off brown colour, with detailed stitching and a long waistcoat. He didn't seem as fussed as Wyatt but then again, Rufus was the calm one. "I can barely move in this stupid thing."
"Your not in it long, now really let's go, I kept you waiting long enough." Lucy ushered, grabbing both the boys sleeves and gently tugging them with her to the machine. Wyatt kept grumbling but stopped when he lifted Lucy carefully even though she'd told him not to, he managed to get himself and Lucy in the machine and placed her down. "You didn't have to to that, but uh—thank you" She smiled, feeling her cheeks heat up.
"Couldn't let you injure yourself trying to get in here, could I?" Wyatt smirked his usual charming smirk, making her cheeks blush even more, hoping he couldn't notice but he saw and just grinned harder. "You shouldn't even be in here Lucy, I don't know what Christopher was thinking, if you get hurt because your not fully healed yet, then she's responsible."
"I'll be fine Wyatt, I've got you, right?"
"Always." Wyatt nodded, although he still wasn't happy with Christophers choice.
