Lucy's eyes flickered between the road and the rear-view mirror, so far so good she, she thought. She just prayed Wyatt was doing as well as she was. No car was behind her, at least not yet. But she drove steady down the road, cautious of anything that could suddenly go wrong, she'd never liked driving a car, not since her accident and right now, knowing Rittenhouse had the ability to mess with her car, she was petrified.
Lucy pulled up to her house as fast as she could, not caring that she hadn't parked neatly. She gazed up at the house she'd grown up in, she wasn't sure if this was going to be the last time she ever stepped foot in it, she hoped it wasn't. But she knew Rittenhouse knew where she lived, they probably even know about Amy, yet they couldn't give a crap about it. Lucy sucked up the courage and headed towards her front door, the creamy colour seeming a little faded in the afternoon light, tapping lightly on the door, she waited. No response came until she readied to knock again, the door swung open and Lucy moved fast into the house, darting up the stairs, pulling her mother along behind her.
"Lucy? What are you doing?!" Her mother called as he daughter hauled her into her bedroom and knelt down to pull a couple suitcases out from under her bed.
"Fill this with clothes, anything you need or want to take with you. Don't question it. I'm going to grab some of my own things then we're going to pick up some friends, got it?" Lucy instructed, not leaving time for her mum to respond as she rushed out of the room and into her own, filling her bag with as much of her clothes and essentials as possible. She knew they were on a time limit, if Wyatt got Rufus and Jiya out early than she'd have less time so she was trying to be as quick as possible.
Once her bag was full to the brim, she lugged it into her mums room, the woman was only half down. Lucy narrowed her eyes, stressed that he mother couldn't be quick, sometimes Lucy believed she was as slow as a turtle. Lucy moved quick, grabbing random pieces of clothing and shoving them in her mothers bag who seemed a little offended by the choice of clothing but Lucy couldn't care less.
"Now grab your bag and lets go!" Lucy called, already pulling her bag downstairs, the door still slightly ajar, the way they'd left it. Her mother let out a sigh but did as she was told, knowing her daughter was just as stubborn as her father was so their was no point in arguing with her.

By the time they'd reached the Carlin's Lucy had explained almost everything to her mum, thinking it was best she knew what was going on, seem as it was her life in danger too. Lucy clambered out the car, ordering her mother to stay put but be wary of any random person that approached the house or her car. The door opened practically as soon as she opened it, greeted by Kevin's face.
"Hello Kevin, do you think you could go and pack a quick bag? You, me, Rufus, Jiya, Wyatt and my mum are going on a trip...but your going to have to be quick, okay?" Lucy spoke fast, hoping Kevin caught every word, he nodded, not questioning her and headed up his staircase that looked like it was made by royalty. Lucy let herself in, closing the door behind her, then wandering around calling for Ms Carlin. Lucy found the woman about to start preparing room, she hadn't meant to startle her.
"Lucy! Gosh, you almost gave me a heart attack, did Kevin let you in?" The woman asked, a smile plastered on her face as she watched the historian, give an apologetic look.
"Yes, um...Ms Carlin...Rufus is in a bit of trouble..." Lucy began, Ms Carlin automatically dropped her knife on the counter, eyes widened in concern and she gave Lucy her full attention. "Wyatt's helping him and Jiya now, but I promise I'll tell you everything in the car on the way to the safe house, Rufus wants you to come with us so that your safe, please don't ask questions now...it's best we be quick just in case they burst through these doors now."
Ms Carlin pushed down with all her might to not ask any questions, she could see the look of worry in Lucy's eyes, knowing she was telling the truth. She wouldn't argue, not if this was something to do with Rufus, so she nodded. "I'll go pack my bags, I'll be down in five minutes, I'm going to take a guess and say you've already told Kevin to pack his?"
Lucy nodded, "I'll be waiting by the front door, we've got to be quick. Rittenhouse isn't tracking my movement right now but whose to say that they won't in a couple of minutes." Lucy mumbled, Ms Carlin understood and was up the flight of stairs in no time. Lucy liked Rufus's family, they understood that when one of their own was in danger they'd do anything to help, that was probably the only reason Ms Carlin and Kevin had decided to go with Lucy.
