Wyatt walked into Mason Industries, a smile smeared along his face, today he could officially be with Lucy without Noah in the picture. He watched as the busy day to day workers buzzed around their workplace, some altering the machine to make it work better than before. It seemed overnight they'd decorated it, who knew a lick of paint could make a old time machine look new. It was no longer a grubby silver, with rust here and there making it look like it was stuck together with the metal from a scrap yard, it was now painted a plain smooth white, nothing fancy, but it looked better than it previously had. The change made Wyatt feel slightly unsettled, wondering why they'd done it, or the fact that they were prepping it for many more trips as though they know that Wyatt will fail at stopping Flynn. He shrugged it off as he felt a arm wrap around his shoulders; Rufus grinned at him friend as the pair stood looking at the newly painted machine.

"Weird right?" Rufus eventually muttered, taking his arm off Wyatt. Wyatt nodded, liking that Rufus found it strange too. "It's like they're trying to make a second Mothership, as though they think we're never getting the other back."

"Or the fact the they know I won't be catching Flynn any time soon and they want our ride to be comfortable seem as we'll be still using it months from now." Wyatt sighed, he tried to get back his happy attitude and to shake off the Lifeboat, it was only a dash of paint. He turned to be face to face with his best friend, he looked as happy as Wyatt did. He guessed it had something to do with Jiya. "Now, slydog, why are you all smiley this morning?"

"Me? Your the one who came in with a smile as big as Cheshire cats, dinner go well at the Preston's?" Rufus teased, shooting his friend a smirk and Wyatt rolled his eyes, but smirked back.

"Lucy told me she was breaking up with Noah today, I'm just a little happy he's out of the picture," Wyatt shrugged, he could feel his cheeks warm and cleared his throat, then raised his eyebrows at Rufus. "Now, your reason to be happy?"

Rufus's cheeks blushed furiously, his gaze dropping to the floor. "Jiya stayed the night." Rufus kept his voice low, not needing the entire room of people they work with to know his personal life, but Wyatt's mouth dropped open and he gave Rufus a friendly punch to the arm.

"I knew it!" Wyatt chuckled, Rufus frowned, he thought Wyatt was enjoying this too much then realised Lucy and Wyatt had probably bet on this too. He let out a loud sigh and shook his head at his friend. Wyatt looked around for Jiya, he found her at a desk with her friend Jane, she looked equally as happy as Rufus had been, making Wyatt laugh even more. "Told you you were a slydog."

Rufus finally gave up as his cheeks went an even deeper colour and walked off towards some other employees, hoping Wyatt wouldn't follow and tease him further. Wyatt was like having another brother, Rufus loved him but he made a mental note not to inform him of him and Jiya anymore, Lucy too. He didn't want them placing secret bets with one another about his relationship. Wyatt stood alone, an amused smirk still dancing along his face as he wandered looking for Lucy, she hadn't messaged him since last night and he wasn't sure if she was out telling Noah now, or if she was somewhere in the building. He bumped into Agent Christopher who seemed in a rush to run off somewhere but Wyatt knew Christopher would know if Lucy was present.

"Hey, have you seen Lucy this morning?" Wyatt asked, making Agent Christopher spin, looking up from her phone, her skin pale. He was positive she had no idea she'd just bumped into him. "You okay?"

Agent Christopher fumbled with her words, trying to sort them out in her mind, forcing herself not to flick into panic mode. "No, I haven't but Wyatt you and Rufus have to time jump now. Even if Lucy isn't here, you have to go. Flynn, he's at Kennedys assassination and my alert was late, he left over twenty minutes ago."

"What? No. You know we don't work well without our entire team, Lucy has to be there. Flynn c-" Wyatt tried to argue but he was already being dragged downstairs and Agent Christopher shoved him into wardrobe, ordering one of the dressers to give him clothing from the 60s. She was gone as fast as she was there, most likely rushing to find Rufus. A woman scurried over, dropping a pile of clothes into Wyatt's hands then she left going back to search for more clothing for Rufus. Wyatt stood there and let out a sigh, he couldn't argue. Lucy could be an hour away and they couldn't let Flynn change that moment in history, it could change everything. Unfortunately Kennedy had to stay dead.

Lucy arrived at work mid-day, she'd just spent the morning explaining to Noah that she couldn't be with him, too many things had changed. But all morning she'd been getting this itching feeling that she was needed here, but she knew she was right about the feeling when she entered to rapidly typing people, Jiya sat biting her nails at her desk, Agent Christopher arguing with Mason once more up in their glass windowed office for everyone to see. Lucy searched the room for Wyatt or Rufus but they weren't anywhere to be seen and neither was the Lifeboat. Lucy's jaw clenched at the fact that they'd been sent on a mission without her. She marched up to Agent Christopher's office, pushing open the door, making the pair angrily glare at their intruder.

"Hang on a moment Lu-" Agent Christopher began but Lucy folded her arms, glaring at the pair.

"No, I won't hold on a moment where is Wyatt and Rufus?" Lucy demanded, standing her ground, she saw Christopher let out a very small but noticeable sigh and she turned to Lucy, ending her argue with Mason who simply rolled his eyes.

"In 1963, November 22nd." Christopher told her, knowing Lucy would understand the day, as Denise expected, Lucy's eyes widened, her mouth gaped ready to speak but Denise beat her to it. "Before you question why we didn't wait for you, we couldn't. Flynn had left twenty minutes before I had got an alert, I had to sent the boys, there was no time to wait for you and luckily we didn't, who knows what he could be trying to do right now."

Lucy didn't argue or question, she simply nodded and turned on her feet, looked over her shoulder at the two watching her, "You can go back to yelling now." She closed the door and headed down the stairs, now she understood Jiya's nail biting. The boys were on a dangerous mission which involved trained assassins and if something went wrong, Wyatt and Rufus could be easily killed instead of Kennedy and Lucy and Jiya could completely forget they exist. Lucy knew she was now as pale as Jiya had been, she pulled up a chair from one of the other desks and slid into it as she sat beside Jiya. The girl barely noticed her presence beside her until she snapped out of her daze, realising she was supposed to be working. Mason hated when she got distracted from her work, she knew his dark side and she preferred avoiding it.

"Lucy." Jiya said a hint of surprise in her voice as her eyes landed on her friend sat beside her, "Sorry, I didn't notice you sat there, I was just..."

"Worrying about Rufus?" Lucy offered, giving her friend a gentle smile, understanding the feeling, Jiya nodded.

"Wyatt too. " Jiya added, knowing it was bad to just care about Rufus returning home safely, but Lucy gave her another smile. "I usually worry but they usually have you out there keeping them from running into gunfire, talking sense into them. But they don't this time and this is a dangerous mission. A really dangerous one. And...and I'm scared they won't make it back, I only just got Rufus back, I already thought  he was dead once, I don't want it to become true."

Lucy held Jiya, knowing she needed the hug of support as much as Lucy needed it, she didn't mind when Jiya let out a few tears, she just rubbed her friends back and tried to assure her that as much as an idiot the boys can be, they weren't dumb enough to get themselves killed. But Lucy prayed what she said was right, Wyatt was a skilled fighter, there was a big chance if he was in a situation where he needed to fight he'd be fine, Rufus was less of a fighter but when he needed to he could handle a fight. But these men killed the president. What would stop them killing random men?
