Lucy walked Wyatt to the door, her mother and Noah who was still grumpy close behind. Lucy was mid through a sentence as they all stopped at the door, but she looked at Wyatt with a smile across her face. She was pretty sure, kissing him goodbye was a bad idea so she settled for a hug, wrapping her arms around his middle, feeling him hold her back, knowing they both had smiles across their faces. Lucy released him and gave him one more smile before stepping back to let her mum say a goodbye. Wyatt's posture straightened as Carol stood before him, he felt like it was a crime not to stand tall around her, but Carol just smiled.
"Thank you for that amazing dinner, dessert too. It was all wonderful Ms Preston. Thank you for letting me stay over." Wyatt beamed, his eyes twinkling brightly as he shook Carols hand, she gave him a little nod, the smile still imprinted on her face.
"It's been a pleasure Wyatt, hopefully some time soon Lucy can invite you over again." Carol spoke, glancing over at Lucy who nodded, shooting smiles at both her mother and Wyatt. Wyatt felt flattered, he remembered Jessica's mother had hated him, said he was bad for her and here was Lucy's mum inviting Lucy to bring him back here.
"I would love to come around again, but it's getting late so I'd best be off, thank you again for having me." Wyatt thanked, giving Lucy one final nod and opening the door and leaving, the door politely behind him. It wasn't exactly a warm late autumn night and he was only wearing the thin jacket the wardrobe people had left him so he was freezing cold. He was just thankfully his apartment was only a few streets away.
***
He had to admit being in an apartment without Lucy with him, or sat down on a chair flicking through a book, or humming a little tune felt strange and unnatural. He hadn't realised he'd gotten used to living with Lucy, having the everyday company, having some-one curl up beside him; warm. He heard no hum of a tune or a warm toasty feeling he got every time he entered their little flat above Mrs Weston's. His apartment was the complete opposite, it was messy, cold, dark and there wasn't a Lucy to keep him company, he was alone. He tossed his jacket on the old coat rack, letting out a sigh. The place seemed in good condition considering he'd left it for more than a couple of weeks. He tested the light, flicking the switch, covering his eyes as soon as the bulb blew, no electricity. He thought Mason Industries would at least help pay for the gas and electricity whilst he was trapped, supposed to be doing a mission thy were incapable of doing but no. Nothing had been paid for, maybe his rent had seem as he didn't have a notice stuck on his front door, he guessed they had the decency to pay for that to make sure he didn't lose his home.
The place looked exactly as it did before he'd left, the dishes from his previous meal in his apartment still waiting to be washed up, which he was supposed to do once they'd finished their mission which was only originally supposed to take a few hours, not a few weeks. He cringed as he approached it, not liking the look of the mould growing on the plates, he managed to pick it up, hoping he didn't catch a disease from touching the bacteria infested plate. He cleaned the house as much as he could, he couldn't see much but thought he'd done a pretty good job at cleaning in the dark. He glanced around his apartment, silence. No late night talking. He hated admitting he missed someone, it made him feel like it made him weak in a way, but he missed Lucy. Just at that thought his phone which Wyatt had completely forgot about and remained abandoned in his pocket. Luckily Lucy's mum had a spare charger for him and Lucy was able to find her charger and charged her own at the same time. But he glanced down at his pocket as it lit up and pulled out his phone, smiling at the message ID: Lucy.
Lucy: Hey.
Wyatt smiled down at his phone, flopped down in his bed and typed a quick reply.
Wyatt: Couldn't sleep?
Lucy: No, Noah eventually left after you, then mum had an early night and I thought I'd have one too.
Wyatt: It feels weird without you here, I'd gotten used to living with you.
Lucy: I know, I almost miss being trapped in that place, Wyatt...I'm breaking up with Noah tomorrow.
Wyatt: You are? What are you going to say?
Lucy: Simple. Things have changed, they have and I don't want to be with him, I want to be with you publicly, not just in secret.
Wyatt: Well, I'll be here waiting. I can finally kiss you when I want. ;)
Lucy: I'll see you tomorrow...goodnight Wyatt. xxx.
Wyatt: Goodnight Babydoll. xxx.

A/N: Hey my fellow Wucy shippers! Sorry this one is so much shorter than the others, next chapter will be longer I promise. I'm still so excited thinking about the Wucy hug for next episode!! I can't wait! All the Wucy hugs and belt buckling is just the best, although we haven't had Wyatt buckling her in in a while...we need more of that!
Anyway, thanks for reading, commenting, voting!! It means so much!
