Wyatt watched the smoke swirl and twist as the light from the far off window illuminated it, he could see speck of dust too. He couldn't say he was a big fan of the bar Rufus chose, but he wasn't against it. It had lighthearted music, few people and a large pool table in the middle of the room. Wyatt scanned the wall of liquors that were covering the shelves, but settled on a whiskey seem as he had no idea what half of the drinks were.
Rufus scooped up a handful of peanuts, about to pour them on by one in his mouth when Wyatt caught his wrist. Rufus gave him a confused look.

"Do you know how many people put their hands on those peanuts everyday?" Wyatt warned, releasing Rufus's arm, Rufus thought about it and miserably put the peanuts back, dusting off his hands. Wyatt did his best not to breath in to much, the musty smell of the room was as though a hundred sweaty men decided to stop by, mixed with the scent of alcohol. Wyatt thought that itself could cause a bomb. "You know I hope you never brought Jiya here, the poor girl would probably throw up."

"Oh god no, I'd never take Jiya here, I usually only come here when I need a quick drink, but you know, seem as I've got you today. Why not stay a while?" Rufus shrugged, swirling his drink, watching as it created a tiny tornado in the glass.

"Ah, so you thought you'd ruin my sense of smell instead." Wyatt chuckled lightly, downing the last of the whiskey. He waved to get the bartenders attention, she was scrubbing a glass clean, looking lost in her thoughts but she noticed Wyatt and threw on her professional smile she'd probably had to put on all day. "Hey, can I get another whiskey please?"

"Sure." She smiled, her voice sounded like a peppy cheerleaders. Rufus finished up his and she poured them both another round.

"Thanks." Wyatt nodded, letting her go back to her job although she seemed to want to linger closer to Wyatt and Rufus now. Now seemingly absentmindly twirling her hair around her finger, making Wyatt feel a little uncomfortable.

"Looks like you've got an admirer." A familiar voice whispered in his ear, before sitting in the stool beside him. His eyes landed on Lucy, her usual smile along her face and her hair over one shoulder. He couldn't help but notice her eyes looked darker in the bars light. A smile grew across his face.

"You're going to regret coming in here in two minutes." Was what he said to her, taking a gulp of his drink, smiling at the bartender making the girl let out a girlish giggle. Lucy rolled her eyes at the exchange between the two.

"Why?" Lucy asked and Rufus waved his hand like a fan, forcing the smell of the room up her nose as she breathed. Lucy's blood drained from her face, making her even paler than she usually was. "Oh god."

"Told you." Wyatt smirked happily. Glancing at her sideways, seeing she hand one hand holding her stomach, he chuckled.

"That's disgusting, how can you work in this?" Lucy complained, asking the bartender who looked away from Wyatt to look at Lucy, the girl shrugged, her deep purple hair falling over her shoulder.

"You get used to it." She replied, leaning against the bar, looking at the three. "So, whats three people like you doing in here? I mean, you're wearing a huge diamond on your finger, cutie here's in a suit and he's here with a big smile. We usually get a bunch of beer bellied, bald, alcoholics in here."

"We just came for a drink, works...difficult." Rufus shrugged, "But today's our day off so why not have a drink to celebrate?"

"Makes sense." The girl nodded, looking to Lucy. "So which ones the lucky guy?"

"Oh. Oh. Uh—none of these. My uh—fiance he doesn't, I mean he's not here, he uh— dropped me off though." Lucy stammered, her cheeks blushing at the fact the girl thinking she was engaged to Rufus or Wyatt. She cleared her throat, smiling awkwardly. The girl raised her eyebrow, probably thinking Lucy was weird then turned he attention towards Wyatt.

"So she's engaged, this fellow is with a girl named Jiya, I heard you guys talking earlier. Does this mean your single?" The girl smiled, edging closer to Wyatt, earning a glare from Lucy, she wanted to make him say no but she knew that would just bring suspicion so she tried to ignore it.

"Can I get a drink?" Lucy asked, making the girl sigh and move away from Wyatt to pour Lucy a drink, Wyatt forced back a smirk.

"I thought you didn't like whiskey? Don't you remember, you almost choked last time you tried it," Wyatt mentioned, making Lucy's cheeks burn remembering their last drink with Bonnie and Clyde. How could she forget that night? It was the first time her and Wyatt kissed, playing a role of course, but something felt real about it she knew she'd never forget it. "Get her a love on the beach," He ordered for her, turning to her. "That might be more your style."

"Uh, thanks." Lucy smiled, taking the glass from the girl. "You know, when I had that drink, our company had put something in that to make it strong, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't just a normal whiskey."

"Still, I could handle it. You almost blew our cover." Wyatt muttered taking a swig of his drink, ignoring Lucy's offended face.

"I think we did a pretty good job at being undercover, they didn't suspect a thing until Rufus showed up." Lucy frowned, Rufus put down his drink.

"So it's my fault you guys almost blew your covers?" Rufus argued, the girl seemed perplexed by their conversation so she moved to serve some of the people waiting at the bar.

"No, no it wasn't lets not argue." Lucy sighed, tasting her drink and letting out a happy hum. "That's good stuff."

"See, told you it'll be more of your drink." Wyatt smirked, ignoring their little disagreement, all three of them acting as though it never happened. Lucy peered around Wyatt to see Rufus mid drinking.

"Wheres Jiya?"

"Oh. Her mum called her home, something to do with her little brother." Rufus answered, double checking his phone to see if he'd got a message from her. "Oh! Would you like to come to our traditional family Christmas party this Saturday?"

"I'd love too, sounds like fun!" Lucy beamed, Rufus shoved Wyatt lightly but he almost spilt his drink.

"See, Lucy loves Christmas, everyone but you likes Christmas." Rufus exclaimed, Lucy's expression mirrored Rufus's when he found out Wyatt didn't like Christmas.

"You don't like Christmas? What are you? The Grinch in disguise?" Lucy playfully, her hand shaking Wyatts arm. "You're going to the party though, right?"

"Yes, I'm going to the party." Wyatt said in a flat tone, glancing down at his arm as Lucy clung to it.

"Good, hopefully that changes you from the Grinch to loving Christmas as much as a child." Lucy smiled excitedly.

"I doubt it very much."
