Wyatt left his car parked up on the hill, he knew it was dangerous to drive once he'd been drinking so he called his friend and he told him he'd come back for it tomorrow. Thankfully the movie theater wasn't far from where they'd had their picnic, although they were a little tipsy from drinking the entire bottle of wine. Wyatt strolled down the street, Lucy swinging their hands laughing as she got the hiccups, truthfully she hated having them but Wyatt found it so funny she couldn't help but laugh too. His laugh was so joyous it was hard not to laugh along with him, his eyes shined brighter when he laughed and it warmed her heart to see him happy.

"So sweetheart, what will we be watching?" Lucy asked as they stopped at the counter, Lucy resting her chin on Wyatt's shoulder as he scanned for their movie. He spotted it and pulled out the money from his jean pocket, he turned his head to look at her as she rested on him and placed a gentle kiss on her lips.

"The Space Between Us, both sci-fi and a romantic, you like romantic, I like sci-fi." Wyatt answered, placing the money on the counter and asking for two tickets to the movie. Lucy giggled beside him, the wine had got to her more than him, but he didn't mind, he liked this side of Lucy, she'd loosened up and acted care free as though all the problems had vanished in her life and she was clinging to this moment as though her life depended on it. He earned himself another kiss from her as he ordered a big bag of sweet butter popcorn, sensing it was Lucy's favourite popcorn.

"How did you know? Are you a mind reader too?" Lucy smiled, hiccuping once more but ignoring and popping a piece of popcorn in her mouth as they selected two seats near the middle. There were few people in the cinema seem as it was pretty late and most people worked nights, but Lucy and Wyatt preferred having less people there. It was quieter, no children to scream or cry whilst they watched the film in peace.

"I wish, then I could figure out what Flynn was up to before he jumped, wouldn't life be simple?" Wyatt said, taking a couple pieces of the popcorn placing it in his mouth, they were a little later to the movie then he had planned but Lucy didn't seem to mind, he gazed down at her as she watched the movie, her eyes fixed on the film, her mind intrigued with what was going to happen next. "Are you enjoying yourself?"

Lucy turned at the sound of his voice, noticing the curious expression on his face, she cupped his cheeks and kissed him, "This is the best date I think I've ever had, yes I'm enjoying myself. Are you?"

"Just you being here with me makes me enjoy this date, ma'am." Wyatt answered honestly, his eyes dazzling in the light from the projector in the projector room. Lucy felt her heart flutter, even though she was partially drunk she could feel the blush rushing to her cheeks, she entwined her fingers with his giving his hand a small squeeze and turning her attention back to the movie. Wyatt smiled down at their hands as he'd down so many times before and ran his thumb across the back of her hand her skin so soft, most likely from all the hand cream she put on twelve times a day. He finally watched the movie with her, liking the silence and the relaxing atmosphere that was in the movie theatre, everyone content with their date or the movie. All in comfortable silence as everyone watched the movie. But Wyatt still had something left to say, he'd never usually say it this early in a relationship but he had to, he had to tell her. Him being with Lucy, it felt like it could last forever but he knew that wasn't true, not with a job like theirs and it might've been the drink giving him the courage to say it but he meant it. He tugged at Lucy's hand, wanting her to look at him, she did. A perplexed look on her face.

"Lucy, I love you." He confessed, Lucy's eyes widened, staring at him with big brown eyes, for a slight moment he didn't think she was going to say it back, then as soon as she broke out of her shock a smile streaked across her lips and her eyes became glossy, shiny with tears.

"I love you too, Wyatt."
