Wyatt pulled up at Lucy's, he was excited for their date, Wyatt had set up the whole thing, picnic and a movie, though he kept Lucy in the quiet, wanting to surprise her. He'd reserved a space on a spot on the hill, it overlooked the city perfectly, it was owned by one of Wyatt's oldest friends but he lent the spot to people from time to time. Wyatt knew it was the perfect spoke for a first date with Lucy, the sunset over it like it did in the movies and by the time they reach the destination the sun would begin sinking. He knew Lucy would adore it. He got out of his car and walked up the path, knocking softly on the door, careful not to knock too loud. It took about a minute before the door swung open and Lucy stood making sure her purse didn't slip off her shoulder, she blushed at the look on Wyatt's face as his eyes landed on her, his mouth opened slightly.

"So, where are we off too?" Lucy asked, breaking the silence, her cheeks still burning from his eyes trained on her, his eyes flickered up to hers, closing his mouth snapping out of his speechlessness and smirked, extending his hand, smiling as she placed her palm in his stepping out of the house and heading to the car.

"Before we get to that, I think you look beautiful," He smirked, leaning over and placing a quick kiss on her cheek making her blush even more, he helped her into his car, then got in his own seat and started up the car then looking over at her, "We're going to be dining on a hill, I've got it all set up, wine and all. Afterwards a movie."

"Sounds lovely, Wyatt. Thank you. You look good in that suit might I add." Lucy smirked, winking at him playfully then looking out of the window as he started the car, this time a blush dancing across his face.

Wyatt pulled up alongside the spot they were going to sit at, no one else was around, only the nature that thrived around them. The night birds coming out singing softly, the lights to the city coming on and the sun setting. Lucy stood in awe of the view when she looked at it, her eyes twinkling as she gazed at everything, she felt Wyatt come and stand beside her, his hand sliding down her arm until their hands were laced together watching the city before them as it prepared itself for the night. Lucy rested her head on Wyatt's shoulder, glancing up at him.

"This is beautiful, how did you get us a spot here?" Lucy asked curiously, her eyes soft as they looked into his, he was relieved she liked it and she could see the relief cross his face and she smiled sweetly up at him.

"I have a friend, he owed me a favor." Wyatt shrugged as though it was no big deal, Lucy pushed herself onto her tiptoes, wrapping her arms around his neck, pressing her lips to his with a grin. Wyatt responded instantly, then broke apart remembering the picnic he'd prepared behind them. "As much as I would love to continue this, let's eat, we don't want anything eating the food before we do." Wyatt chuckled, earning a light laugh from Lucy.

Wyatt straightened the flannel picnic blanket, the basket was in the centre, two empty wine glasses beside it, the wine resting against the picnic basket so it didn't fall and their were two cushions for him and Lucy to sit on. Lucy felt butterflies rise in her stomach as she sat down on the blanket and took a peek in the basket.

"Oh, Wyatt this is adorable! You've got everything, including the little bread bites!" Lucy exclaimed, staring over at Wyatt, she didn't think she'd ever find someone she'd love like this in her life, she thought all that falling in love thing was a myth, something that happened to people that weren't her. But here she was sat on a picnic blanket, staring at Wyatt with so much love that it felt like her heart could burst out of her chest, the best thing was, Wyatt was giving her the same look of love that she was giving him.

"I told you when I asked you on a date that it was going to be a memorable one, I meant it. You deserve a date that's perfect." Wyatt smiled, then lifted up the wine popping off the cork and pouring it into their glasses. Glancing up at Lucy, shooting her a smile. "And now for the food..."

He opened the basket and took out the bread bites setting them down then taking out a plate full of fancy little roasted tomato pancetta quiches , then a case full of rocky road, smoked salmon and poppy seed palmiers, he emptied out the food until they practically had a full course meal before them both. Lucy's eyes widened at the delicious looking food, she could feel her stomach rumble as she stared at the food hungrily.

"Was this prepared in a restaurant?" Lucy questioned, she didn't believe Wyatt cooked this, she sort of hoped he hadn't she'd tasted his cooking and it wasn't the best, not that she could say much, she couldn't even cook toast without it burning. Wyatt grinned at the question.

"I tried cooking it myself, but as I expected it was a disaster so I found a little restaurant who were glad to cook the food for me for a small price." Wyatt admitted, laughing at the relief on Lucy's face, he'd tried cooking for her already and they ended up having to eat a take-away because he almost blew up his apartment. "But I've tried this roasted tomato thing and it's incredible, try some." Wyatt offered, taking hold of one and holding it out from Lucy, she leaned forward and took a bite out of it, she had to admit it was some good quiche.

"Whoa." Lucy muttered, covering her mouth as she spoke because she still had quiche in her mouth, but Wyatt smirked, glad she liked it. He wasn't sure if she'd like all this fancy food, but he wanted it to be special so he got things you'd find in a picnic but this was just a little fancier than a usual picnic. The sun had almost set and their plates were clear, only crumbs remained but the still had a little wine left, Lucy poured the last bit into their glasses and raised a glass. "To us."

Wyatt kissed her cheek, then raised his own glass, "To us."
