It seemed like Rufus had been gone for days, but truthfully it was only a day, although that was just as bad as him being gone for days. It should of been a simple trip, check on his family, get a recorder and go. Lucy and Wyatt had that horrible feeling that something was wrong but they acted as if nothing happened, they suppressed the thought that something was wrong and tried to focus on their mission.
Lucy edged around the building, trying to find the back entrance, she was holding a gun, though she knew she'd probably be to afraid to use it. Wyatt was inside, searching for Flynn there, they'd given up on finding the reason for him being here and just stuck to find him and kill him.

"I think I've got him." Lucy hissed into the ear piece, "South side of the building, kitchen on what I think is the left."

"Got it, don't move. You've had enough near death experiences." Wyatt whispered, knowing he was too far to intervene if she was about to get hurt. Lucy rolled her eyes, but agreed, she didn't need to cost Wyatt another clear shot at Flynn. But their were so many people around, he couldn't shoot. Wyatt cursed. "There's to many people."

"Got it!" Lucy beamed as she spoke, rushing back to the side of the building, managing to pry open the bathroom window, scrambling tthrough praying no one was using it because they'd be in for a shock. Thankfully no one was. She opened the door into the formal party, probably looking terrible with her worn out dress with trails of mud on the bottom, but she didn't mind too much. "Fire! Fire upstairs, everyone out! Now!"

Just as planned people started rushing for the door, some barging past others, husbands grabbing their wifes, trying to get them out safely. Lucy grinned at herself, she knew Wyatt had Flynn handled, but she just hoped he hadn't brought his men with him. She moved towards the kitchen, peering around the corner, Wyatt had Flynn at gunpoint, the barrel pressed to his temple, finger on the trigger.

"Trust me Wyatt, if you want to know you won't kill me." Flynn reasoned, Lucy could see the hesitancy in Wyatt's face, it was the face he made when he couldn't choose between a doughnut or cake.

"You're lying." Wyatt growled, his eyes flaring.

"Maybe. But you'll never know, not if you kill me and I really did know her killer." Flynn smirked, Lucy stepped into view, she knew what this was about.

"Wyatt. Weigh out your options, ok?" Lucy said softly, "I understand, I really understand why you want to not kill him, I want you to find out Jessica's killer as much as anyone, I want you to get peace. But...but letting Flynn live, I—I don't think that's the best plan."

"I can beat it out of him." Wyatt muttered, his voice cold and distant. "I'll make sure he spills who did it, I know more ways to break someone than you think."

"Maybe, but what...what if he doesn't break?" Lucy asked, taking a small step forward.

"Lucy, I'd really like it if you stayed out of this." Wyatt grumbled, his eyes still focused on Flynn. "Who did it? Who killed Jessica!"

Flynn let out a laugh. "Oh, I'm not going to tell you. You can torture me all you want, but I'll only tell you once Rittenhouse is dead, unfortunately it's going to take longer than planned, by the way, where's your funny little friend? Rufus?"

"None of your business." Lucy snapped, her eyes now glaring at him, wanting to keep Rufus out of this.

"Ohh, I can read you like a book, let me guess recorder died so he went back?" Flynn guessed, Lucy's eyes flickered to the floor giving herself away. "Oh no, no. You shouldn't have done that, surly you remember that one major rule. No travelling back to a time you've already been in, no time where you already exist. If Rufus is coming back for you, you just sent him on a suicide mission and you two, well you'll be stuck in this lovely time. Not all bad, at least theirs cheese."

Lucy face faltered, her heart clenching, a hand lifting to her mouth. How could they forget that rule? That one simple, important rule. She just hoped that Agent Christopher and Mason refused to let Rufus travel back. But then...then her and Wyatt would be stuck here, way to many centuries before they were supposed to be alive, their families...they'd never see them again. Rufus would never see his if he took that trip back. Lucy couldn't help but let out a cry, a tear falling down her face. That's why Rufus hasn't returned, it was dangerous and hopefully Christopher knew it. But she knew Rufus, he promised he'd come back and he doesn't break his promises, but...by keeping his promise he was sentencing himself to death. Wyatt seemed unsteady now too. His mind racing, not knowing what to do.

"Even better, if...if I killed you now then we could take the Mothership back, get ourselves home, kill your men, save Anthony so we had a pilot and sent him to prison." Wyatt said a sudden burst of confidence, his hand steady as a rock.

"You could, but you see Wyatt. I knew you'd do this, put me at gunpoint. My men, they do as I say, well their slightly brainwashed at this moment, done by a special friend of mine. If I'm not the one to return to that time machine then they hit the self destruct button, weird how everything has one of those, a bit of a curse right?" Flynn chuckled, enjoying that he had every moment planned. "Now, make you decision, kill me or let me go."

Wyatt's eyes flickered to Lucy, who sat on a stool her head in her hands, sobbing miserably. Wyatt sighed, he had to know who Jessica's killer was. He put the gun away, tucking it in his belt. Flynn gave him a grin, turning on his heel but stopping at Lucy, placing a hand on her shoulder, though she didn't even seem to acknowledge it. Wyatt stepped forward, about to raise the gun again.

"And I truly am, sorry for your loss. It looks like theirs no more time chase. No more anything for you guys really. And even know I've done a lot to help with that. I'm truly sorry." Flynn said, his face genuine but Wyatt just glared. "Enjoy the cheese!"

"Just get out before I change my mind and blow your brains out." Wyatt snarled, Flynn raised his hands in surrender and left.
