Lucy gave the guard a wave and a fake smile as he drove off, letting them go into their room. Lucy's smile fell and she glared at the boys.

"Why were you tied up?" Lucy frowned folding her arms, looking for an answer, because she'd done her part of the mission but they hadn't completed theirs which she thought was dumb, seem as it was Wyatts idea not hers. Wyatt scratched the nape of his neck, blushing in embarrassment.

"We weren't exactly expecting them to fight back so well, turns out their good with their fists." Wyatt muttered, trying to hide his embarrassment but Lucy had already seen it. "Hey. You had the easy job and you got the one crooked guard!"

"Yeah." Rufus said, backing Wyatt up but one evil eye from Lucy and he sat himself on Wyatts temporary bed, keeping away from the little tiff they were having. Knowing it was best not to choose sides.

"Excuse me? You're the one who said I was persuasive, well you were wrong there, none of them would listen to me and it wasn't like I knew the guard, was it? He was the only one they were going to give to me so I took it! I saved you, didn't it?" Lucy snapped back, pretty proud with her argument when Wyatt seemed like he didn't know what to say back. He let out a sigh.

"Sorry Lucy, I don't want to fight, we saved history so lets just get back." Wyatt gave in, Lucy gave him a soft, corner smile respecting his decision not to argue.

"Your an idiot." Lucy said, Wyatt just smiled, he knew she meant it with care, that she called a truce, she was never really one to say that she wrong and he knew that, thats why he was happy she'd called him an idiot. They shared an exchange, before Rufus cut in.

"Ah, so now we've wrapped up that little tiff, lets leave this century before that twisted cop—guard—comes back." Rufus insisted, grabbing their bag and patting Wyatt's shoulder and gesturing for them to leave. Lucy glanced around the room, snatched up the key and rushed after them. She got downstairs and passed the key over to the woman behind the counter, who thanked her for her stay although it hadn't even been a day. She took her places between the boys as they waited for her, giving her a little smile.

"I wonder if the rhymes still the same." Lucy thought aloud, making the boys laugh, they never understood her love for history, but this time she just seemed to care about the rhyme and it was so care free of her that it was funny. "I think I understand why Christopher put me out here, she said it was because she wanted me to find out something about Guy, but she must've knew I'd find nothing. She sent me out here to get back into routine, get my side used to the usual events that go on in my life."

"I bet me tackling you didn't help." Wyatt spoke, giving her an apologetic look, but she smiled up at him, her smile speaking words that she couldn't express.

"Maybe not, but you saved my life. Twice." Lucy smirked, a playful look dancing over her expression. "You know you've got to stop doing that, I can't repay you for that."

"I can't let you die, can I?" Wyatt grinned. "Especially not now I've met your mother, she seems to be watching me carefully and if she sense I didn't save you, god help me."

"My mothers complicated, but I think she likes you." Lucy shrugged, she never really knew her mothers thoughts or intentions, just like she couldn't read Lucy's, gladly. Rufus frowned.

"So what about me? Does she like me?"

"Oh, she loves you, she thinks your a delight I think those were her words." Lucy laughed, knowing Rufus would be happy with that, but she understood why her mum took a liking to Rufus, everyone did. He was a good guy, they were hard to find in a world like this one. Wyatt was too, it was just harder to detect, you had to get to know him to be certain. Lucy was sure when she first met him that she'd dislike him, but now...now she had all these feelings flying her way every time he was near.

"Great. She already loves Rufus; why are you so hard to dislike Rufus?" Wyatt asked playfully, Rufus chuckled and shrugged.

"Guess I've got that aura, that vibe that tells people I'm a great guy." Rufus replied, Lucy laughed with him this time. She might be the only girl, but she loved the boys, she didn't need any females friends when she had them. Although it was good talking to Christopher and Jiya, nice to get a girls perspective on things once in a while.

They arrived back in 2016 in one piece, which wasn't always the story, people rushing to see if everything was ok, nurses walking hurriedly over to check Lucy if she needed it, but she got down with Wyatts help, looking healthier than when she left. Christopher didn't look too pleased though, all three of them saw her look of relief that they were ok but when her eyes landed on Lucy, she seemed a little irradiated.

"Lucy, the man, your fiance, he came back this afternoon demanding to see you. Refusing to be escorted out by the security so we shut him in the office around the back to wait for you to come back. We couldn't put him out front just in case he saw your return." Christopher told her, her strict, not pleased look on her face. Lucy's face quickly mirrored hers soon enough at the mention of Noah, she let out an annoyed sigh, about to go sort out Noah but Wyatt caught her wrist gentle, so that she could pull it out.

"You've got to change first, no need for him to see our little costumes." Wyatt told her, she looked down at herself, sighing. Her hand moved nut she didn't move it so it fell out of his hold, she moved it so her hand was in his. She gave him the smile she always did and squeezed his hand tight then left to change, Wyatt watching after her.

"Mr Logan? If you're finished staring at Miss Preston, we'd like a word." Mason said, Wyatt sneered at Mason for saying that so loudly, making his cheeks flush but he nodded to him and followed them. Knowing this was probably about him not killing Flynn again, it was but he knew they wouldn't fire him, not when Lucy and Rufus refused to stay if they got rid of Wyatt. It wasn't his fault, Flynn was always unavailable to kill or he'd slip through Wyatts fingers and vanish before Wyatt could shoot him. Or lile this time, he'd put them in danger and he'd have to save someone from being shot by Flynn. They thought it was a simple task of spot him and shoot. But it wasn't. It was more difficult than it seemed.
