It was harder than it seemed to gather food and drinks, they knew the government and Rittenhouse probably had access to know when their credit cards were being used so they were forced to be quick, get what they needed and go. They got several blankets, enough to keep them warm at night. Lucy had gathered all the needed food and drinks, Rufus had brought a duster and cleaning supplies, mainly because Jiya had told him too but he did it all the same. Jiya had been sent down the the further shop with Mrs Carlin and Kevin to fetch anything else that was needed.

Lucy sent a quick message from the burner phone to Jiya that they'd collected what they needed and were heading back. Wyatt slid in the back beside her as Rufus readied the car. He'd been against leaving his family to go on their own with Jiya to the further shop, knowing that was more danger. But he trusted that Lucy and Wyatt had made the right decision by that. Wyatt had bags of blankets and fresh pillows resting beside him on his opposite side, Lucy had filled the boot of the car with all the essential foods so they didn't get damaged and the rest where in the bags at her feet. Lucy rummaged through the bag and brought out a car of beer she'd brought specifically for Wyatt knowing he probably needed some kind of drink.

"It's not whiskey, but it'll do." Lucy winked, nudging him playfully. Wyatt smirked, wrapping his fingers around the can his fingers over hers when he held the can. He leaned forward pressing her lips to his, Lucy gladly responded, her free hand travelling to rest along Wyatt's jaw. If it wasn't for Rufus clearing his throat, feeling awkward in the front of the car, then they would've probably gone further. Lucy felt the blood rush to her cheeks as she released her hand from the can allowing Wyatt to take it and pressed her lips together, avoiding looking into the rear view, just in case it was awkward. Wyatt was more amused, he arched a brow at his friend.

"Come on man, we've had to put up with you and Jiya with your tongues down each others throats, can't it be our turn?" Rufus cringed at the thought of having to sit and listen, he glanced over his shoulder at Wyatt and shook his head.

"No way man. Gross. You can wait until I'm out of the car." Rufus disagreed, his eyes travelling back to the countryside road. Wyatt let out a chuckle and settled to let his eyes rest, leaning against the pillows and blankets. Lucy smiled lovingly over at him, patting his knee then looking out of her own window then out of the back window. She could see her own car driving not far behind.

"See, we told you they'd be fine. We can give our mums our food and they can prepare a meal. This house used to belong to my great uncle. He left it me and my mum a few years back after he passed. We've just got to subtly take the electricity from the town closest and ta-dah! Electricity. You guys know how to tap into electricity right?"

"I know a little about how it works I guess. If I get electrocuted or arrested for doing this, I swear Lucy, I'll make sure Jiya leaves a mouse in your pillow." Rufus threatened, tossing her a friendly smile. Lucy laughed lightly imagining Jiya attempting to pick up any type of rodent. The girl might be a bad-ass but she wasn't made to interact with animals. Jiya caught up to them pretty quickly driving behind them, smiling when she spotted Lucy looking through the back window to check if they were all good. Both Jiya and Mrs Carlin gave her a thumbs up and Lucy nodded, understanding. She knew they were still about half an hour from the house so she rested on Wyatt's chest, making the man stir in his sleep but his arm curled around her waist, pulling her close as she closed her eyes. Rufus didn't seem to mind that, he'd seemed to have relaxed more now knowing his family were alright.

Lucy had always admired the amount Rufus loved his family, how he'd do anything in his power to protect them. She thought it was sweet. Lucy was pretty sure Jiya adored that quality about him too, as well as the video gaming part of him. Lucy had been told about their cute little dates either by Jiya or Rufus and she knew the pair couldn't be more in love with one another. Lucy couldn't stand that Rittenhouse had deprived them of a simple life, one where they could find someone they love, settle down, have a steady job, have children and died happily. Now the seven of them were probably going to be hunted for the rest of their existence.
