Lucy pushed open the back office doors after putting on her clothes from earlier that day, back in her black long sleeved top and fluffy jumper and leggings. She came in closing the door behind her, the click of the door seemed to have woken Noah from the chair, he was on his feet fast looking drowsy. He gave her a smile when he saw her.

"Your back." He said, Lucy could detect the excitement and pleased tone in his voice but she dismissed it and kept her annoyed face on. Noah read it pretty fast and his smile dropped.

"What are you doing here Noah? Checking on me? " Lucy frowned at him, allowing him to walk closer to her, but he didn't seem genuinely sorry for being here. He held her forearms, making her want to retract from the touch but she forced herself to stay. "Noah, answer me."

"Luc. You were shot, you could have died and I am determined not to leave your side ok? I know you want space, but not-not if your getting hurt. I came back and I was told you'd left for a job, that you wouldn't be here for hours. They were right about that, I didn't know you worked for so long. Carol told me you sometimes have to leave early hours, that sometimes you take business trips?" Noah told her, looking a little overwhelmed by how much she had to do. "I'm just worried about you, I think a fiance can be worried about their future wife, don't you?"

Lucy shifted uncomfortably at the last part, moving from his touch. "This job...it means so much to me Noah, you being here, you're just setting me up to be fired, yes I work long hours, yes sometimes I have to be away, but I'm—I'm doing what I love. I don't need you to be by my side all the time Noah, I can protect myself."

"Really? Because to me it looks like you can't protect yourself at all. Your mother tells me you wouldn't even tell her what you do here." Noah said, his voice raising a little, getting annoyed at Lucy like she was annoyed at him.

"Stop talking to my mother. She barely knows whats going on in my life right now ok, and the gun incident was my fault ok, I annoyed the man and you know what? I might not have protected myself but I learnt something from it. So don't come into my workplace, throwing around that I can't protect myself, don't make me look weak Noah!" Lucy fired back, opening the door and leaving it with a slam, he'd just put her good mood into a bad one. Lucy headed over to Steven, the head security guard and patted his shoulder meaning he can use force to get Noah out now.

She knew she'd be having words with her mother tonight.

Wyatt came out of the office, greeted by a peeved off Noah getting shoved out of the premise, he couldn't help but grin. Although it made him wonder where Lucy was, he knew she had a fiery temper when she wanted and Noah looked like he'd had a good telling off. Wyatts eyes scanned the room looking for the dark haired girl, looking for a fluffy white jumped among the suits and nerd shirts and ponytails and messy hair cuts, finally his eyes found her. Noah would be passing her soon, he wanted to watch this, see how they reacted to each other. He knew had tried to feel something for Noah, trying to become the woman he once knew, but Wyatt knew Noah wasn't helping her try to feel something for him. Noah was grumbling something to Steven, Wyatt had spoken to Steven, he liked the guy. He earned a lot working here, enough for a decent life for him and his wife and their little girl. Wyatt had saw a picture, the kid was cute.

He watched as Noah called something to Lucy, probably her name or sorry and she flashed an angry look and went back to her conversation with Kim, the other tech girl they knew, she was nice, her and Lucy had got on pretty well. Wyatt had only spoke to Kim, he didn't mind her, she was how he'd describe a typical Californian girl, deep tan, hopes high and a dazzling smile.  He knew Kim liked him because every time he'd approach she'd get all giddy and embarrassed, which always made Wyatt feel bad because he didn't like her the same way. So he tried to avoid her when he could.

He looked around looking for Rufus, but ended up spotting him making out with Jiya at her station, he was happy for Rufus but he wasn't a fan of watching people kiss, so he looked elsewhere. Christopher and Mason were still in the room behind him, probably over discussing him and Christopher trying to suss out Masons intentions with Rittenhouse now she'd figured it out. He got bored quick, he hated having to go home to an empty apartment, a lonely bed, no one to say hello too. It was lonely. He was lonely. His eyes managed to travel back to Lucy, now waving her arms about as she explained or told a story to Kim who was intrigued as always. He'd missed being able to sleep here over night, he wasn't saying that he wasn't happy Lucy wasn't out of the hospital bed, he was just saying he'd liked talking to her through the night until they both fell asleep. The conversation seemed endless until they got tired. He'd wondered if she'd missed it too.
Kim had said something about Wyatt, he could read lips pretty well, even if it was far off, he couldn't see what it was about and he couldn't read what Lucy had said, mainly because she was a fast talker. Her head turned, her eyes dancing around the rooms, searching through the hundreds of peopled crowded at work in the building. He guessed she was looking for him seem as Kim had brought him up, but he wasn't going down there, knowing Kim would just act like a thirteen year old with a crush. Her eyes finally spotted him as she looked up, catching him looking at her, a blush rushing across her cheeks but he didn't look away, he gave her that familiar smirk she saw on her first day when they were sat in the room, ready to be told about time travel. She gave him a fond smile back, before Kim joined in, beaming up at him, making him give her an awkward teeth showing smile, giving her a forced wave back. Lucy mouthed sorry and he quickly guessed that Kim had asked where Wyatt was, and he cursed under his breath as the girl made a beeline for him. He didn't forgive Lucy for it, she knew how much he hated Kim being all giggly around him, he didn't know how to react to it.
