Wyatt ushered Rufus and Jiya into the old house, it wasn't all that appealing. The paintwork on the outside of the house was scratched up and some of it even had bits of graffiti scribbled over it, the wallpaper in the hallways were peeling off, one touch from falling off the wall completely, the flooring still glistened as though it was brand new, yet there was a dusty, rotten smell filling the air making the three cringe, the smell making their stomachs churn.

"You want us to stay here?" Rufus muffled as he covered his nose with his jacket, his eyes glancing around the falling apart home, clearly it had been abandoned for years.

"It's temporary, some place Rittenhouse don't know about so suck it up and lets find the others." Wyatt grumbled, not happy with the stench either but he made his way towards one of the rooms, praying Lucy was here and fine, he'd got her message of the address but she could still be in danger. Wyatt glanced at his bloody knuckles, he had to put up a good fight to reach where they were holding Rufus and Jiya, not that he minded hitting people, he just hated the aching knuckles that came after. Wyatt crept around, still wary that this house was previously abandoned. Wyatt heard Jiya gasp as she startled feeling a hand rest on her shoulder, turning greeted by Lucy's smiling face, Jiya let out a tired laugh and embraced Lucy, glad to see her friend.

"Thank god you're okay." Lucy smiled, giving Jiya an extra squeeze then hugging Rufus, then her eyes landing on Wyatt, she got on her toes so that she could kiss him after wrapping her arms around his torso, happy he was ok. It didn't take her long to notice the bloody knuckles, she winced, imagining the pain. "Did they hurt you?"

"Not as much as I hurt them, they'll have a headache when they come around, is your mum and the others okay?" Wyatt asked, Lucy glanced over at Rufus and nodded to the room opposite them, indicating that his mother and brother were waiting on the other side. Rufus smiled gratefully at her before taking Jiya's hand and making their way into the room to greet his family. Both his mum and brother attacked him with a bear hug as soon as their eyes landed on him.

"Lucy explained everything, about Rittenhouse, Mason, all of it." His mum spoke into his shoulder, holding her boys close, "I'm just glad you're okay, you too Jiya, you're not hurt are you?"

Jiya shook her head, "Rufus swung a punch or two but Wyatt was the one taking all the hits, he handled the men well though. As far as we know, no one followed." Jiya explained, her head turning towards the couple who'd came into the room. Rufus's mum rushed up to Wyatt crushing him into a hug, making it look like Wyatt's eyes were about to pop out off his skull.

"Thank you, Wyatt."

"Uh, y-you're welcome Ms Carlin." Wyatt blushed, not used to all the hugs he was recieving, he'd gotten several from Jiya and Rufus for rescuing them, now from Ms Carlin and he knew in only a few moments Carol would approach giving him a hug in thanks. Yet his favourite hug was from Lucy, they were always warm and reassuring, something he looked forward too in their bad situation. He grinned down at his girlfriend as she beamed up at him, her hand still intertwined with his. As he suspected Carol was next to give him a hug but she hugged the pair of them, not just Wyatt.

"Now...it's freezing in here, there's no heating or water and this place is falling apart, are you sure we couldn't find a far away hotel?" Carol asked, not used to living n such conditions, Wyatt was quickly getting used to the smell and Lucy seemed fine with the living space, although she could see on Kevin's face that he hated it.

"Even if we could find a hotel, we wouldn't have enough fuel to get all the way there and back to pick up the others, its best we stay here for now, where it's safe." Rufus spoke up, glancing at all the faces in the room.

"We could try to clean this place up a little bit, it's still got furniture, maybe we could spring clean a little and at least make this a temporary livable space?" Lucy suggested, lifting a pillow and whacking it against her hand and an explosion of dust erupted in her face causing a coughing fit, her mum was quick to give her a bottle of water she'd taken before they left.

"I think we should at least try...it can't be that bad...but if you see something moving, avoid it." Jiya advised, thinking of the spiders, mice and rats that could be waiting to pounce out making a shiver of fear shoot down her spine. Just the thought of there being bugs made her feel like they were crawling all over her, she found herself brushing her arms as though there were bugs on her. Rufus snickered as he watched his girlfriend dust herself down as though she was stood in an ants nest, Jiya caught him chuckling and slapped his chest. "It's not funny." She grumbled although Rufus could see a smile creeping at the corner of her lips, wanting to smile.
