(Femke's P.O.V)
I sat back on the chair, running a hand through my hair as I tried to concentrate on my class. Geography; never been my favorite subject. Always failed in trying to get along with it. And now, with this thought of losing my guardians, there was no way I could get my mind to straight concentrate on anything. The depression, the insecurity, the stress. I spent the last days crying my insights out. All I did was repent over the time that didn't spend with mom and dad. I was like a socially-awkward bingo. I never really told anyone about the accident except for Justin... and a few other friends like Sonia, Hareem, and Mina. I'm sure Justin told Ryan, Chaz, and Christian as well since I didn't tell him not to.
Anyways, so I was apparently in the middle of a mixed up world. People in school thought I was a freak while they didn't even care to figure out why. I was doing horrible in studies. I figured sooner or later I'd be standing in front of the Principal's Office. That was not the worst that could happen since the worst had already happened with me. The loss of your parents is, by far, the most unbearable loss I have ever experienced. It's like I have no one who understands me now. No one I can run up to when I'm upset or disturbed even though I never had that kind of a relationship with my parents. It all seems so strange, so lost now.
"Femke!" Miss Georgia yelled, making me sit up in surprise as a few pencils fell down from my desk. Excusing myself, I quickly set then back on the desk, not caring how much noise I was causing. "What activities are you indulged in, in these days? Where is your mind diverted, Femke? You're our A star student! You're supposed to be an example for everyone! What has gotten into you?" she asked, standing in front of me with her arms crossed against her chest. She raised her eyebrows at me as I avoided contact.
"I'm sorry, miss" was all I could say. Trying hard not to cry. Not allowing my emotions to escape my throat.
Keep it in. Keep it in.
"I hope you know your finals are near, Femke. It's time to get serious. Not take it as a joke,"
"Yes miss. You're right. I'm sorry" I repeated, wiping away the tears that were threatening to . "It won't happen again," I added. I just wanted it to get over as soon as it could. I didn't have a good feeling in my stomach. I wanted to throw up.
"Sit down" she said sternly and turned around. I could hear the nerds of the class giggling and chuckling. They were definitely happy Miss Georgia was starting to lose the special spot for me. They always wanted it anyway. At least someone's happy.
It took a billion years till the class finally ended. Or as thought so.
I walked unto my locker and just stuffed everything inside.
"You okay?" Esther asked as she walk up to my locker. I turned and gave her a slight smile.
"Yeah I'm fine. Just a bit stressed about the exams," I lied, shutting my locker.
"You sure?"
"Positive" I nodded and she just gave me an unsure look. "I gotta go," I walked past her as she spoke up;
"Where? We still have three more classes to go" I turned around.
"I need some rest. I'm not feeling well. I'll talk to Miss Tiffany" after getting the satisfied look from her, I went over to the staffroom.
All the teachers turned their gazes to me as I looked around. "Miss Tiffany?" I called out.
"Yes honey, I'm here" she smiled as she got up and made her way towards me. "What can I help you with?" she asked, giving me a warming smile.
