Simon's POV

"We should get you home soon, Jess." I mumble into her ear before kissing her cheek. "Why?" She whines as she leans back into me. "So you can get your things for school..." I chuckle. "I don't wanna go..." She huffs. "Tough." I say. She turns around and faces me properly, "Can't we just stay here and cuddle?" She asks with a small, child-like pout. "No, sorry." I say before planting a small kiss onto her forehead. "Please." She whines. I shake my head, "Sorry." "Fine..." She sighs.

"We can cuddle later, if you want." I mumble as I sit and play with her hair. She nods slightly, "I'd like that." She says. "Thought you would." I chuckle.

"When should we leave?" She asks. "Whenever you're ready." I smile at her. "Now, that way we can get to school early." She says as she slides off my lap. "True." I shrug slightly. We then make our way quietly out of my room, downstairs, and out the front door to my car.

We swiftly climb in my car and quickly buckle ourselves in. I then quickly put my glasses on, so I can see, before starting the car. I then pull out the driveway and make our way towards Jessica's house, so she can get her things.

Jessica's POV

We pull up outside my house. I notice my mothers car isn't there, which I'm slightly relieved about. "I'll be 5 minutes." I say to Simon before climbing out the car. I rush over to my front door and look under the door mat to see the spare key. I smile as I pick it up. I then quickly unlock and open the door.

I close the door behind me before rushing upstairs to my bedroom. I quickly change my jeans into a clean pair, so I don't feel dirty or disgusting. I quickly do my makeup - foundation, concealer, mascara, brows - before grabbing my school bag. I make sure I have everything before rushing back downstairs.

I quickly walk into the kitchen and grab some food - an apple, some chocolate and a sandwich my mum must've made for me. I then grab the first drink I see - Dr Pepper. I throw everything into my bag before rushing out the house.

I quickly lock the door behind me before rushing back over to Simon. "You took 6 minutes." He says as I buckle myself in. "So?" I question as he starts the car again. "You said you'd be 5 minutes." He says as we make our way to school. "Oh wow, I took a minute longer." I sass. He laughs at me, "What was you doing?" He asks. "Changing my jeans, doing my makeup, getting some food. You know, the important things." I list. "Fair enough." He says with a small shrug.

I grab my phone out of my pocket and look at the time; "It's only 6:45..." I mutter. He looks down at me briefly, "So, we'll be really early then." He says. "Mhm." I hum. "What're we doing in today's lesson?" I ask, as he is still my teacher. "I ain't teaching today, JJ is." He says as we stop at some traffic lights. "What'll you be doing then?" I ask. He looks at me, "Observing the lesson." He says with a small smile. "Oh..." I hum.

"You did remember your gym stuff, right?" He asks as he continues to drive. "I think so..." I say. "Check please." He says. I sigh as I look in my bag. "Nope, I thought I did." I say. "Well done." He laughs. "I have my gym shorts, that's it." I say, pulling them out of my bag. "Well, looks like you'll be stood with me." He says. "Oh no, not stood with you." I say sarcastically. "I'm afraid so." He sighs.

"Well, lucky for you, I don't mind that idea." I say with a smile. "Funny enough, same." He chuckles.
