Jessica's POV

Due to the fact he has much longer legs than me, he catches up to me quickly. I slow down a little so that my legs don't turn to jelly, and so I can actually talk without dying for air.

"Could you not." I say as we jog together. "What?" Simon asks with a chuckle. "Could you not be so fast." I say, making him laugh. "Learn to be quicker." He says. "Mate, I'm quick..." I say to him. He raises an eyebrow at me, "Are you though?" He asks. I stop in my tracks, "Yes, I am." I say. "Hmm, whatever." He says. I act hurt by his comment, "Rude, much." "Rude but true." He chuckles. "Nah, just rude." I say as I continue walking.

"Get jogging, Moore." He says, almost like a order. "Or what, Minter." I sass back before laughing. "You'll know what'll happen." He says with a slight smirk. "What'll happen, then?" I ask. "I'll make you do 10 more laps." He says. I scoff, "No you won't. You love me too much." I say with a smirk. He looks at me before stopping. "Shut up." He says. I stand in front of him, "Or what?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. "Just... Shut up." He mutters. "I was only messin' with you, sir." I say as we continue to walk. "I know, but still..." He mutters. "Oh, yeah. Sorry." I apologies. "It's fine." He smiles slightly. I smile back. "I just don't want Layla, or other teachers to hear, you know." He mutters as we eventually approach the other girls, including Layla, who obviously took a shortcut. "Same, don't worry." I say before jogging over to Layla.

"You 2 took your time, didn't you." One of the girls, Alex, says. Everyone, apart from Simon, Layla and I, laugh. "Quiet girls, please." He says. Everyone quiets down. "You may go, if you wish." He mutters. Everyone cheers before rushing off, except me and Layla.

"Sir." Layla says as she drags me over to him with her. "Yes?" He asks as he leans against a wall. "Why did you 2 take so long?" She asks as she crosses her arms. "We were walking, and talking." He says, like it's no big deal, which it isn't. "Mm, okay." She says as she looks at us both. "Layla... Let's just go." I sigh as I drag her away. "Whatever." She mutters as we walk to the changing rooms.

-

"Why aren't you getting changed?" Layla asks as she brushes her hair. "I have to stay behind, don't I." I say to her. "Oh, yeah." She mutters. "Well, bye then." She says as she pulls me into a hug. "See you Monday." I smile at her. "See you Monday." She smiles back before walking off. I sigh as I grab my things and head to the gym.

"Ah, I thought you would've forgot." Simon says as I walk in. I notice the bearded guy before with him, along with Mr. Barn. "Why would I forget?" I ask as I walk over to him. "Why're you here, Mr. Barn?" I ask as I stand next to him. "Was just talking to Mr. Minter, that's all." He smiles at me. I smile back, "Fair enough." I shrug.

"Come on then Josh. Let's leave these to alone." Mr. Barn says as he and the bearded guy, now known as Josh, walk out. "Bye Si!" Josh shouts before walking out.

"He's your roommate right?" I ask as I sit next to Simon. "Yeah, why?" He asks. "He's pretty good looking." I say. He stares at me, "Really?" He asks, making me laugh. "Yeah." I nod. He sighs loudly, "He's got a girlfriend." He mutters. "Oh." I say, making him chuckle.

"Anyway, let's get started." He says as he stands up. "I don't wanna." I whine. "Tough." He says as he drags me off the bench. "I ain't doing anything." I say like a little kid. "Why not?" He asks. "Well, I only got told to stay behind. I didn't get told to do any work." I say with a small smile. "True I guess." He sighs as we sit back down.

"So, we're just going to sit here and talk?" He asks. I nod, "Yeah."
