My life is honestly the best it's ever been. I'm in highschool, nearly graduating, I have friends, people like me, and I'm really happy with my life right now!

I started my Friday morning off just like I normally do. My Mom was making breakfast, and my Dad was already gone because work requires him to be there super early and super late. He's the town's Chief of Police and he takes his job really seriously. He's also really good at it. The town has so much respect for him.

I quickly ate some breakfast and got changed for school. It's the beginning of Fall which means cool, foggy, and wet weather. I made sure I had a jacket with a hood on it and my black converse before exiting the house and locking it. My Mom usually drives me to school because it's around the same time she has to leave to go to her office, but I like walking, so this morning I walked.

I made it to school at my regular time, 30 minutes before classes start. This gives me enough time to finish up any homework that I didn't do the night before. No one was really here yet so I sat in front of my locker and began to finish my homework.

"Hey, excuse me?" I looked up from my Trigonometry textbook and saw a girl standing in front of me. I politely put my book away and saw what she wanted.

"I'm new here and I was wondering if you could help me get into my gym locker. It's so different from my other school." She nervously laughed as I got up on my feet.

"Sure I'll gladly help. Welcome to ValleyHigh, I'm Mara."

"Oh, Erica." I smiled and walked Erica to the girl's locker room. I showed her how to use the lock and she got it on the first try. She'll instantly make friends. She looks way too cool not to have friends.

"See you around Erica." Erica seems very nice. I hope we get a few classes together. Since my locker was on the other side of the school I took a shortcut to get me there quicker. Well, I thought it was a shortcut.

I must have walked through the wrong door because it was another locker room. It smells like boys. Oh dear god no! I'm in the boy's locker room. Anxiety filled my body as I panicked to leave quickly. But then I noticed something, it was empty from what I could see. What's the big deal? No one is in here.

I calmed down and tried to find the main door that'll take me to a hallway. Why is the boy's locker room so big? I'm going to need help getting out of here. I walked until there weren't anymore lockers. Just stalls, sinks, and toilets. I'm in the bathroom part. Then where the hell is the exit?

"Oh wow." I quickly turned around and standing before me was a boy covered in water with a towel wrapped around his lower half. Oh fuck. He's probably going to tell everyone that I was in here. "I didn't know the boys locker room came with girls." He said with a smirk.

This guy wasn't ugly. Who am I kidding, he's gorgeous. He has sandy brown curly hair, and muscles. I've never seen him before. He must be new. I'd remember seeing someone as good looking as him walking around these halls. "Are you just going to stare at me or tell me what you're doing here?" He asked. I cleared my throat and looked away from his body.

"I got lost in here trying to take the short way back to my locker." He started to laugh and he stepped a bit closer to me causing me to step back. "The door's that way." His eyes didn't leave me as he pointed to around the corner. I didn't thank him as I quickly got out of there. God, that was weird.

"Oh my god, I love your hair. Who dyes it?" I quickly turned around as someone started to play with my hair. I calmed down a bit when I realized that it was only Erica. "I do." I said to her as she let go of my hair and smiled at me. "It's nice. So where are you going?" She asked as we started to walk down the busy hallway.

"Lunch. Lifesaver." She started to laugh and looped her arm around mine. "Me too! It would be so crazy if we had the same schedule." That rarely happens in life, so if it does that would be crazy. I just laughed and walked over to my normal table where Noah was already sitting.

"There you are. Oh my god be ready for English because Ms. Black is being super bitchy today." Noah said as he pulled out my sandwich that he always buys for me. It's like our thing. "When isn't she being bitchy." I jokingly said as I unwrapped my sandwich.

Noah cleared his throat and then I remembered that I didn't introduce him to Erica. "Oh, Noah this is Erica. Erica, Noah." I said and Erica smiled at Noah while he did the same. "Are you new?" Noah asked and Erica nodded her head.

"I hope it isn't that obvious." She said with a light laugh and I started to eat my sandwich. "I've been going here since my Freshman year. I know who's been here and who hasn't." When I was new Noah literally just looked at me and knew that I was new. It's like his superpower.

"So Senior year. What are you signing up for?" Noah asked and I put my sandwich down and thought about it. "I really want to do cheer." I informed him and he got excited. "Then do it. Try outs are next Wednesday." He's right. This is my year and I'm going to be a cheerleader.

"This is English. Ms. Black likes to make the new students introduce themselves to the class. It's a bit childish if you ask me." I said to Erica as we entered English. She giggled and I walked over to my desk and sat down as she walked over to Ms. Black's desk.

"Well, well, well." Someone quietly said from behind me. I turned around to see the same guy from this morning sitting in the desk right behind me, taking out his English notebook. He isn't in this class. What is going on?

"You're not in this class." I said to him and he smirked as he pushed his hair from out of his face. He was freaking hot. Hotter than he was this morning, if that's even possible. "Yes I am. I sit here now. Right behind Mara Woods who gets A's on every test in this class." He said with a smile.

"How do you know that?" He just smiled and gave Ms. Black his attention as she started to talk to the class. "Everyone this is our newest student Erica Hills." Everyone stared at Erica and she just glared at everyone, like she didn't care that they were looking or talking about her.

"She comes from New York and she's super excited to be here." Ms. Black smiled at Erica and she looked back at Ms. Black and forced a smile which caused Ms. Black to giggle. "So treat her with kindness, and Erica you may have a seat anywhere." Erica nodded and took a seat right next to me. Thank god she's going to be here with me because I don't think I'll be able to fight him off alone.

"Okay," Erica said as we walked to our next class together. "What's up with you and that kid?" She asked and I knew who she was talking about. "It's honestly nothing." I started to say but she started to laugh. "Spill. I know when you're lying." I was hesitant at first, but then decided to just tell her.

"I accidentally walked inside of the boy's locker room,"

"How?" She asked with a laugh. I playfully rolled my eyes and continued. "Anyways and he was there and we kind of talked. And now he sits behind me in English." Why out of all people would this happen to me? Maybe this is a sign that my Senior year is going to be my best year.

"He's hot and single so just go for it. I so would if I were you." Erica is right. I should go for it, but before I just jump right in I have to know who and what I'm dealing with. "I don't even know his name." I cried out.

"It's Colin." I stopped dead in my tracks and stared at a smiling Erica in disbelief. "How do you know that? You're new." She laughed and we continued to walk. "I have my ways grasshopper." Maybe having Erica around as a friend is going to be a good thing for me.
