Ariana

Sunday, 8:01 am

"Mama, I'm hungry." Aviella says.

"I know, Avi. What do you want?"

"Fruit Loops." She says.

I nod, pulling the box out of the cabinet, along with milk from the fridge, and a spoon and bowl. I pour Aviella a bowl of cereal then put everything back up before leaving the kitchen.

Justin hadn't woken up yet, but neither of us could go back to sleep, so we just went into the kitchen.

I walk into the bedroom, sitting down next to Justin.

"Babe." I run my hands through his hair, but he doesn't move.

"Baby, get up." I sit in his lap, straddling him.

"I'm pretty sure there are gonna be people here today, Justin. You need to wake up." I stroke his cheek and his eyes flutter.

"Are you trying to wake me up or fuck me? Damn." He says.

I laugh, leaning down to kiss his cheek.

"I'm trying to wake you up. This was the only way, apparently."

"I suggest you get off of me."

"Why?"

"Ariana, you are going to make my friend, which I know you love a lot, very excited."

"I do not love any of your body parts." I get off of him, standing beside the bed.

"Let's ask the baby growing inside of you, shall we?" I roll my eyes playfully and he laughs before sitting up and getting out of bed.

I kiss him again and he walks into the bathroom. I go to the kitchen to check on Aviella.

"Where's daddy?" She asks.

"He's coming. I'm gonna go get dressed. Can I trust you to be in here by yourself?" She nods excitedly.

"Call me if you need anything."

"Okay." She stuffs her spoon in her mouth and I leave the kitchen.

I pick a light pink sleeveless sweater crop top and light washed jean shorts with white converse.

"Excuse me, wife." Justin steps out of the bathroom, staring me down.

"What?"

"Where in the world are the rest of your clothes?"

"Umm, I don't know. Let me know when you find them."

"Little girl, I am not playing with you."

"Good. I wasn't playing with you either. And, for the record, I am a grown ass woman, so, I can do whatever the hell I want."

"Woah. I was not expecting that."

"Oh, you weren't?"

"I should've been. I know you." He laughs, pulling me closer to him.

"But the next time you talk to me like that I will fuck the shit out of you." He whispers in my ear.

"Oh, you will?" He nods, kissing my neck before letting me go.

I blow him a kiss before walking back into the kitchen, where my phone was on the charger. I pick my phone up and open Twitter just as the doorbell rings.

"God." I groan, putting my phone back down before going to open the door.

Officer Jones and Harris are standing there, with one more person, who's dressed in normal clothes, but has a badge.

"You are Ariana?" Officer Jones asks.

"Yes." I nod.

"This is Jackson Miller. He's our sketch artist. We know you didn't see whoever was in your door that clearly but whatever you saw can be helpful."

I nod, stepping aside to let them in.

Justin comes out of the bedroom smiling.

"Welcome back." He says.

He shakes all of their hands and Officer Harris introduces Jackson to him.

"Nice to meet you. Thank you in advance for all your help." They all nod.

"Is Aviella here? We'd like to ask her some questions first."

"Yeah, she's in the kitchen." Justin leads them into the kitchen and I follow them, standing in the doorway.

"Baby, they're gonna ask you some more questions. Answer them as best you can, okay?" She needs slowly, looking at the three men in front of her.

"From what I heard, you saw the man in the doorway first? What did he look like?"

"He had black hair and he had sunglasses on, even though it was dark outside, and he was tall and he was wearing black jeans and a black T-shirt."

"Is that all?"

"No. He had on black boots and his hair was in a ponytail under the black hat he was wearing."

"Did you see anything different about his face? Like a mustache or anything?"

"What's a mousestach?" Aviella says, causing us all to laugh.

"Did he have hair above his lip or on his chin?"

"Both! Is that a mousestach?"

"Yes, princess." Justin laughs, ruffling her hair.

"Thank you, Aviella. You were very helpful." Officer Jones says.

She grins, looking at the bowl in front of her.

"Ariana, did you see anything significant?"

"No. I only saw him for like 2 seconds."

"Alright. Thanks. We're gonna take this sketch back to the station and see if we can find anything out. For now, I would suggest security cameras."

"Don't we have some?" I ask Justin.

"Yeah, we do. They just haven't been installed yet." He nods.

"Well, you should install them, ASAP." Officer Harris says.

"We will. Thank you, officers."

"We?" I ask.

"Hush." Justin tells me as he walks them to the door.
