"I have the best mommy and daddy ever!" Aviella yells.
"I agree. Well, about the best mommy part." I reply.
"I agree about the best daddy part." Justin says.
"Why can't you ever both agree on something?"
"Oh, I'm sorry. I must've missed the part when you became the parent." I say.
"I'm not the mommy. And I don't want to be. Then I would have to take care of you two, and I don't know who would want to do that."
"Wow! Why did our daughter just lowkey roast us?" Justin asks.
"Because she's your daughter. That's why."
"Can we stop walking now? There's all this water that I'm walking past and I can't even get in it!" Aviella says.
"Nobody said you couldn't get in the water. We're walking because we have to find the right spot."
"It's all sand. Why does it matter?"
"I said the same thing, princess. But we have to do what mommy says because mommy is the boss."
"But you're older than mommy. Why aren't you the boss?"
"That's not how it works. You'll learn when you get older."
"No, I already know. I'm the boss of my boyfriend, but you guys are adults." (Will someone please tell me what her 'boyfriends' name is because I forgot)
"That doesn't make a difference. And you don't have a boyfriend."
"Yes I do. You don't know what I got." (Who knows what that's from lol)
"You don't know what I have." I say.
"Yes I do. You have Bella and your phone."
I sigh, using my free hand to pat the top of Aviella's head. She was acting very slow today.
"What was that for?" Aviella asks.
"Nothing." I shake my head and Aviella walks into the water.
"I don't even know where we're going at this point. We can just stay here." I laugh.
"You mean I've been walking for ten years for absolutely no reason?" Justin asks.
"Yeah. I just like the sand on my feet." I smile.
"Well you can enjoy the sand on your feet all you want right here." Justin lays out the blanket that Aviella wanted to bring, yet she didn't want to hold it, and I sit down with Bella.
"I'm going to drown. Bye." Justin says, planting a kiss on the top of my head.
"Have fun!" I yell.
"I will." Justin walks in the water and Aviella follows him as he goes deeper.
She knows that she's not allowed to go that far unless one of us was in the water with her. The waves will take her away and she'll never be seen again. She doesn't have to wear a life jacket because the water is not that deep, it's just the waves that make it seem like that. But the waves pull her tiny self up with them so she stays on top of the water and not drowning.
"Moonlight, we can go in the water in a little bit. I just need to sit down for a bit, okay?"
I lay Bella on the blanket, on her stomach, and watch her try to roll over. She has done it before, a couple times, actually, but it hasn't been consistent.
"You can do it, babe. Just roll over. It's not that hard. Well, for me it's not." I laugh, tickling her stomach.
"I guess that's not helping you much."
Bella rolls onto her side a couple of times, and onto her back once, so I stop torturing her and walk into the water.
"Mommy and Belle came to join us!" Aviella yells.
"We did. Kind of."
I wasn't standing in the same depth of water as them because I didn't want my moonlight to be attacked by a wave. I was just standing where the normal water was up to my knees, and the highest wave came up to my waist. The water was calm today or else the waves would've been higher.
I stay in the water with Bella for a few minutes, and Justin offers to take her but I say no because I'm not interested in the water that much.
1:47 pm
"Bella's mad, Bella's mad!" Aviella says.
"She's not mad. She's hungry."
"Does that mean we get to go eat?"
"Are you hungry?"
"Yeah! I'm starving."
"You ate a whole meal and a half just four hours ago. How hungry can you be?"
"Really hungry."
"Whatever you say. Let's just wait for daddy to stop being stupid and realize that it's not going to happen."
Justin was trying to do a back flip over a wave, and he had been trying for about ten years, literally. The only reason I didn't say anything was because it was hilarious to see him get knocked out by waves.
"Baby, we're hungry!" I yell.
"Hold on! One more try!"
"You're a dumbass!"
"Thank you!"
"That wasn't a compliment!" (Sound familiar to anyone?)
Justin doesn't reply to this, but he tries another back flip and unsurprisingly fails.
"Let's go eat. I'm tired now." He walks up to the sand and we go up to the end of the beach.
There was a million restaurants and hotels and it was so hard to choose one, but we eventually found one that looked amazing.
When we got there, the cutest thing happened. Justin was holding Bella, and she was just looking up at him with so much admiration. It was so adorable, so I took a picture. Of course.
