"What number is this?" Justin asks.
"I believe this is nap number 4, today. Don't judge my baby. Baths make her tired." I laugh.
"No, I think I'm gonna judge her. She didn't even let you get her dressed before she went to sleep. What kind of nonsense is that?"
"I'm gonna need you to stop being so mean to your daughter. She loves sleep, just like her mommy."
I pick Bella up, making sure the blanket stays wrapped around her. I could barely get a diaper on her before she fell asleep.
"She's so cute. If I could, I would divorce you and marry her."
"That is gross. Please don't ever say it again."
"Yeah, I realized that after I said it. That probably won't be coming out of my mouth ever again."
"Probably? More like never." Justin lays his head on my legs and starts planting little kisses on them.
"What are you doing?"
"Kissing your legs. What does it look like I'm doing?"
"It tickles." I giggle.
"I'm sure it does." Justin stops kissing my legs and I lay Bella on my chest.
"That's her favorite place to sleep, isn't it?" Justin asks.
"It should be with the amount of time she spends here."
"I love her so much." Justin says, reaching his arm up to stroke her hair.
"Who wouldn't?"
"Someone who's blind, deaf, and can't talk."
"Helen Keller?"
"Yeah. Sounds about right."
I smile, looking down at Bella, who's now drooling on my chest.
"I should've expected that. But it's fine. I'm going to sleep anyway."
"Before you do that, where is Aviella, and why is she so quiet?"
"That's a good question. The last time I checked, she was watching Shopkins and playing with Shopkins in her room."
"I'm gonna go check on her. Don't be asleep when I come back."
"I'll try not to be." Justin gets up and walks out of the room.
I just stay where I am, watching Bella sleep.
6:32 pm
"She was knocked out on the floor. There's absolutely no chance that she'll be waking up until tomorrow." Justin walks back in the room and collapses on the bed.
"Wow. Did you leave her on the floor?"
"No. I put her in her bed and she didn't even move."
"Great! I guess we'll have a lot of packing to do tomorrow."
"We certainly will."
Justin makes himself comfortable with his head rested on my stomach and we both fall asleep.
11:23 pm
I wake up to Bella basically screaming into my ear. I wouldn't even call it just 'waking up'. That sounds too peaceful. She actually scared me awake because I thought she was dying or something.
"Damn, girl. You scared me." Justin says in his 'just waking up voice', which is by far my favorite voice of his.
Don't ask why.
"Has it even been 4 hours?" I ask.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure it has. Do you need to go back to school?" Justin replies.
"No and shut up."
I lay Bella down between me and Justin and take my shirt off.
"You don't have to do all that to feed Bella, little girl." Justin says, covering his eyes.
"I'm not a little girl. And I don't know why you're covering your eyes. That's what bras are for."
"Oh. You're wearing one. For once."
"Haha. You got jokes. Funny."
"I'm serious. How do you expect to feed her like that?"
"Well, Justin. I'm just gonna use my brain."
"That sounds like a good idea."
"I know. That's because it is."
I pick Bella up again and lay her on my chest.
"Eat away, moonlight. Mommy's going back to sleep."
