"I know you are not falling asleep in the pool." Justin says, causing me to immediately open my eyes.

"I'm not in the pool. I'm laying on a floatie thingy. What did you expect me to do?"

"Hmm, I don't know. Not fall asleep." He says.

"Shut up."

"Mommy, daddy said he was gonna splash you with water." Aviella says.

"Aviella Monet, you were not supposed to tell her!" He groans.

"She will never be on your side." I giggle.

"Obviously." He mumbles.

He disappears under the water, coming back up with one of Aviella's sand buckets full of water.

"Justin Drew Bieber, I swear, if you-" He doesn't give me a chance to finish before pouring the water all over me.

I had barely gotten wet this whole two hours, now I was soaking.

"I hate you." I mutter as Justin laughs his face off.

I'm tempted to punch him, but I don't wanna mess up his beautiful face.

"Baby, you're in a pool. You're gonna get wet."

"But I haven't gotten wet this whole time."

"Well you are now. Come play with us." He says.

"Yeah, mommy. Can you come down the slide with me?" Aviella says.

She makes her way to the stairs and I sigh, sliding off the floatie. Justin smirks, his hand sliding along my ass as I walk by. I glare at him and he chuckles as I get out of the pool.

Aviella's already sitting at the top of slide when I get up there. I slide down with her, multiple times. And after playing and splashing and 'swimming' with her, she finally gets tired enough to go inside and eat lunch. Justin makes grilled cheeses while I bathe Aviella and they eat while I take a shower. I eat while Justin's in the shower, then Aviella picks a movie to watch.

She ends up picking The Croods, which we haven't since she was around 3. But, she was asleep before the movie was even halfway done, which I knew would happen.

I was falling asleep on Justin's lap when I got the sudden urge to pee, but he was asleep as well and I didn't want to wake him up. I sit up as gently as possible and stand up before he pulls me back down.

"Where do your think you're going?"

"Justin, I have to pee. Let me go."

"Oh, as you wish, baby." He says, releasing his grip on me.

I stand up and go to the downstairs bathroom, taking care of my business before returning to the couch.

"Welcome back, angel." Justin says.

I grin, laying my head back on his lap, and falling asleep almost immediately.

3:47 pm

"Mommy, wake up." Aviella pats me on the head and I groan.

"What, princess?"

"Mommy, it's raining." She says.

"It's okay, Aviella. The rain isn't gonna kill you."

"It's scary, mama. The sky makes a big boom." She whines.

"Lay down, Avi. You're safe in here." Justin says.

I turn around to face him. I didn't even know he was awake.

Aviella climbs in his lap and lays her head on his shoulder.

"Was it supposed to rain today?" Justin asks me.

I shrug. I change the channel to News 9, 4 and 7, and they all say it's gonna be raining for the next couple days, which I had no idea of. I guess that's what I get for never watching the news.

"What about my game?" Aviella says.

"I don't know, sweetheart." Justin strokes her hair.

He was now in full on dad mode, which was rare, but it did happen.

"It depends on if it's raining there. Coach K will text us if the game gets canceled."

"Oh." Aviella replies quietly.

We sit in silence, watching News 7, until there's a huge, and very loud, clap of thunder. Aviella screams and buries her head in Justin's neck, crying.

"Shh, angel. It's okay. You're okay." Justin whispers into her ear.

"Daddy and mommy are right here with you. Nothing will ever hurt you, princess." He strokes her hair but she continues crying.

By the time she turns over, her face is tear stained and there are more rolling down her cheek.

"You don't have to cry, Avi. Please don't cry." I tell her.

I wipe away tears with my thumb, the same way Justin did to me 5 years ago when we first met.

Aviella doesn't stop crying for a while, and by a while, I mean at least 30 to 45 minutes. And when she does stop crying, it's to it's to whine about being tired then fall asleep almost 20 minutes later.
