"Daddy, where is mommy?" Aviella asks.

"Mommy's resting. She doesn't feel good."

"Oh. Can we make her breakfast?"

"That's a great idea, princess, but I don't think she wants to eat anything right now. Do you wanna make her a card instead?"

"Yay! Come on." Aviella hops off of the couch and runs upstairs to her room.

I look at Bella, my baby who's trying to grow up way too fast. Just two months ago, she was so tiny and now she's huge. I already have to do enough keeping men away from Ariana, now I'm gonna have to keep all these boys away from both of my beautiful daughters.

I have to snap myself out of my thoughts and remember that Aviella is waiting for me upstairs. I stand up and pick Bella up, taking her upstairs.

"You took a long time, daddy." Aviella says.

"I'm sorry, princess. What are you working on?"

"I'm making mommy a picture." Aviella was indeed coloring a piece of paper.

I couldn't exactly tell what it was yet, but whatever it was it would be loved and hung on the refrigerator.

"Daddy, I would like Bella to help me with my picture."

"I don't now how helpful she's gonna be, princess."

"It's okay, daddy. Give me her hand."

"Why?"

"Daddy, please?"

"Okay, but be careful."

I give Bella the teething toy I was holding to keep her distracted and grab her other hand. Aviella uses a green marker to color Bella's hand, then places it on her paper.

"There. Thanks, sissy." Aviella goes back to coloring and I just laugh, going to Bella's room to get some wipes.

I wipe the marker off of Bella's hand before returning to Aviella's room.

"Princess, I'm gonna give you a job okay?"

"What is it, daddy?"

"I'm gonna go check on mommy, and I need you to watch Bella for me. Is that okay?"

"Okay, daddy." Aviella continues coloring and I just laugh, placing Bella on her bed with pillows surrounding her so she doesn't fall off.

"I'll be back, princesses." I leave Aviella's room and walk downstairs.

The door was closed just in case the girls got too loud because I didn't want them to wake Ariana up.

I push the door open and walk in. All the lights were off, the curtains were closed, and Ariana was asleep. At least I thought she was sleeping. That's what it looked like.

"Hey." I hear her whisper.

I guess she wasn't asleep.

"Hey, baby. How do you feel?"

"Tired."

"You've been asleep for six years."

"More like six hours."

"Yeah, that's more like it. Should I let you sleep?"

"Maybe just a little longer."

"It's okay, Queen. Sleep as long as you want."
