My head leaned back against the cool glass of the bus window as we weaved along the curvy mountain road. The commotion that erupted from this bus was all ringing in my ears as I tried to focus on the passing trees outside, but it didn't help distracting my mind from the rushing anxiety that I've been feeling for the past few weeks now.

Many would think my worry came from this training camp we were invited to, with whole new teams that we've only heard about from rumors. Honestly, they were the least of my worries. I just wanted this week to go well, unlike everything else that's happened in our lives for the past few months...

I was suddenly startled out of my thoughts as a tiny form suddenly rams into the back of my bus seat, leaning over the headrest too get a clear view out the giant window. "Alpha-senpai, look!" I heard the chirpy voice of Miyu cry as she began shaking my chair from behind. Her wavy blond pigtails fall in front of my face as she leans over to point at a bare spot between the trees, bouncing up and down above my head. "We're almost there!"

Glancing to the side, I seen that we were now driving along a ledge of the mountain, and through the hole in the leaves, I was able to see a full bustling city spread out over the ground below. Sitting back up in my seat, I open my mouth to respond but was cut off by another excited squeal. "I've never been this excited in my life! What do you think these new teams will be like? Do you think their good?"

"How am I supposed to know, Pup?" I respond with a small laugh, leaning forward and resting an elbow on my knees while shoving any negative thoughts I had to the back of my mind. "None of us have ever met them, but their suppose to be powerhouses, or whatever, so they gotta be worth something."

"Their called the Fukurodani Academy Group." A voice sounds from the row in front of us, and both me and Miyu jump back to see the top of a girls head turn to look at us through the space between the seats. "Honestly, Akiraa, as captain, you should know these things already!"

From the rapid clicking coming from her lap, I could see that she was already typing like a mad lady on the laptop of hers, and it wasn't even noon yet. "But Kiyomi," I jeered, learning forward to where my head was right in her ear, "I thought reviewing boring information and researching about it was your job on the team?"

I had to jump back to avoid being smacked with flying arms as my friend heaves herself over the back of her seat so her dark-tan head was visible, slick back ponytail and all, which is how she always wore her jet black hair. "You think you're funny now, but I'm gonna laugh when it comes time to meet these teams and you don't even know their names!"

As I just stuck my tongue out at her, she heaves a long sigh, turning back and settling down in her chair while straightening the round glasses on her face before they could slip off. "At least do so much as know who invited us! We're going to Shinzen high, but the team who got us here was Nekoma, a well known school in Tokyo. They usually host this event when school ends, but since our semesters are different, they bumped it up to their spring break to match with our summer vacation-"

"Wooooohooooo, summer!" Miyu squealed excitedly, flopping back into her seat behind mine. She is usually always seen sitting by my side, but since she really wanted a window seat and I beat her to this one, she decided to just hop over to the next row. "Alpha-senpai, do you think you could teach me how to play beach volleyball this year?"

Despite my not-so-fantastic mood at the moment, I knew I shouldn't let my true feelings about this event show through to Miyu and ruin her bright spirit. The team needed someone like that right now. "Sure thing, Pup." I replied, reaching up and ruffling her wavy blonde hair while giving her a wide smile."That is, if your basket case sister will loosen the reigns enough to let you go..."
