Akiraa's POV
"You can go ahead and put us down for your next practice match." Bokuto urged over Kiyomi's shoulder, trying to catch a peek at the tablet of notes that she holds in her hands. "And its totally fine if you guys wanna host it at your school. I mean, its not like I've wanted to see it in person my entire life, but whatever you decide is cool."
"Back off old man!" Inuoka barked as he also jumped to our manager's side. "Nekoma is going to play them next! We brought them here, didn't we?"
The swarm of players just continued to get bigger and bigger. "Over my dead body!" Noya exclaims as he yanks the first year back by the neck of his red jersey. "Karasuno called dibs already!"
Poor Kiyomi was stuck in the center of it all as the teams quarreled over who would be the first to play Katsushika next, an argument that has been going on for almost the entire week. Right now was probably one of the hardest moments of the whole trip, when everybody was gathered outside of Shinzen to watch us girls off, and everyone was working to get a few last words in before we left off for the mountains.
The sky was now glowing a brilliant fiery orange as we all said our goodbyes to the new friends we have made over this break, a truly heartwarming scene. I still remember the beginning of this trip, when we were afraid we wouldn't make any friends at all, but look at us now. Everyone had come out to say goodbye, fighting about who would get to see us next. I was just sad that this week flew by as fast as it did...
After Kiyomi had practically punched her way out of the crowd, my attention was instantly caught by Noya as he races off to where Tanaka and Tora were with my teammate Ren. Both were already in full sobs, wrapping her in their arms in a tight hug. "Do you guys have to go?" Tora wailed, shaking my teammate so violently, her brain rattled. "We still have more games to play!"
I seen Ren put on a brave face as she gives Tora's head a small pat. "We will meet again, my friend." She reassures, stepping back so she could meet his glossy gaze and setting a hand over her heart. "When we face off in the battle of Cat v. Dog, I promise to send all of my spikes to you!"
"And I will try and receive them all!" He replies boldly, straightening his back and giving her a soldiers solute while they both just continued to cry.
Tanaka and Noya then began shoving the Nekoma feline to the side, making sure he didn't hog all of her attention. "Don't forget about Karasuno!" They both whined, leaping forward and wrapping their arms around Ren in another hug that almost popped her eyeballs out.
A loud whimper suddenly drew my attention away from the gang of four, and I turn to see Miyu as she gives one last cuddle to Lev's cat, who he had carried outside just for her. "You'll text me pictures of him every day, right Lev?" She asked, giving the feline a gentle scratch on the head as it lets out a loving purr.
Lev's response was cut off by a loud meow from the cat, and he just gives a small giggle before speaking again. "He says he'll miss you too."
"No fair!" Hinata whined as he reached around Miyu to stroke the cats back, only making puff up in a annoyed hiss. "How come it never talks to me?"
"I didn't know cats could talk..." Kenma muttered under his breath as he just watched the three before him coo over the pet.
Miyu then holds the cat's head up to her ear as if it was whispering something. "He says that he knows you don't like a lot of conversation." She teases sweetly, holding it out for Kenma to pet. "He still expects daily chin scratches!"
I was too far to hear his reply, but I was almost certain that I seen a tiny smile tugging at the sides of his lips as he reaches out and gives the cat a soft pat under the chin.
