"Nope. No. Absolutely not. Horrid..." clothes were piled all over my room as my closet was in the process of being turned inside out. A disgusted look had overcome Isozaki's face since she began tossing everything she could find over her shoulder in disgust, trying to find at least one thing she approves of.

I didn't mind the mess at all, it wasn't much of a change to how my room looked before, half of my clothes already spread out on the ground so much you could barely see the floor. "Seriously, Akiraa, when was the last time you've been shopping for some new outfits?" Isozaki complained after throwing a warm out sweatshirt into the pile of rejects behind her. "The fanciest thing I've found in here is your school uniform!"

While she dug around to find something decent, I just laid backwards on my bed with my feet propped up on my headboard and a chocolate bar in hand. As it approached evening, I could feel nerves beginning to grow, and not even sugar was able to calm my knotting stomach. The day was here, and I don't think my anxiety has ever been more torn up in my life.

A voice sounded from another part of the room before I had a chance to reply. "I told you guys she would need our help today." Etsuka, who was sitting cross legged on the floor, laughed. She was almost completely healed from her injured shoulder, only a tiny bruise still remaining, and her spirit still remained brighter than ever. "If it was up to her, she would go on this date wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt covered with stains."

"You mean what she's wearing now?" Shinobu scoffs.

Snapping my head down, I was met with the annoyance that she was right. I now wore just a faded yellow shirt from junior high that had the sleeves ripped off and didn't even reach my waist, with some grey sweatpants I'm pretty sure I stole from my brothers room.

I thankfully got backup before Shinobu could bash me anymore. "I don't see what your talking about, that outfit is good for any occasion." Ren defends, her own clothes being just basketball shorts and a dark red hoodie.

It was clear to see that not all of us have had experience with fancy dates or nights out like most people. I mean, I've watched enough movies to know this wasn't proper date attire, but I didn't think I was suppose to dress like I was about to meet the queen! Come to think of it, the only knowledge I had of dates were only from movies.

This is already off to a great start...

Seeming to be able to guess how clueless I was going to be, all the third years on my team decided to meet up at my house today to help prepare for this date. Ren, almost as confused as me, stayed leaning against the wall right beside my head, reading a few sports magazines that I had laying all around the room while the rest whispered about how to turn my rags into a sensible outfit. I tried to stay out of it all, mostly because the more they talked about it just made me that much closer to vomiting.

Isozaki was about to make fun of one of my faded tie dye t-shirts before there was a sudden creaking at the back of the room, and we all turn to see both Kiyomi and Mika as they lifted my window open from the outside. "Sorry we're late." Mika apologized as they crawled through the frame and into the house. "Kiyo was helping babysit my brothers and we just got them to fall asleep."

Kiyomi and Mika both lived on the same street as me, and ever since we were kids, they have never once used my front door. In the beginning, they would use a lawn chair to climb up onto my dad's toolshed, then crawl over to the small ledge at my window. After a few years, my dad started getting annoyed about shingles falling off his shed that he actually installed a latter on the side of the house for their convenience.

After they both found a place to sit, Isozaki throws her hands in the air, gesturing to the wild mess around her. "Glad you guys could join the party, we need all the help we can get."
