"I'm not kidding! I broke the window seven times that summer!" I exclaimed, gesturing so strongly with my arm that I almost took out a lantern hanging outside the doorway of the restaurant.

We had just finished our meal and were now heading out the door, Kuroo being a gentleman as always and holding it for me as I stepped out into the busy streets of Tokyo. It was darker outside now, the sky fading from a fiery orange to a brilliant royal blue, with rays of light from the city dancing underneath the clouds. The hustle and bustle hadn't died down, but the nightlife was what I enjoyed most about these kinds of places. It's like a whole other world after the sun goes down.

Once our strides had become even on the sidewalk, our arms link together again as if on instinct and I could still feel his whole body shaking with laughter. "Usually, people only have to break a window with a baseball once to learn their lesson." He looks to me out of the corner of his eye. "But with you, that doesn't surprise me one bit."

"It was during my baseball phase! I needed a place to practice for tryouts and there wasn't a field anywhere around us, so I just used my backyard." I couldn't help but chuckle at the memory. "Dad was not happy about replacing the broken glass every week, but I think my team winning first place at the tournament in the fall made him forget about it."

That was back when I was ten years old and had caught a glimpse of a baseball game on tv one night. That took up probably two years of my life before I moved on to the next interest, but it's still one of the most fun sports I've ever played.

This was part of a long conversation we got into around the end of dinner, when Kuroo asked how many sports I have played in the past. I warned him that would take a while to explain, but he was surprisingly eager to hear. It turns out, like me, he also has experience with a number of different sports, soccer and basketball being some of them.

This whole night has just been dedicated to learning everything we can about each other, from the deep stuff to little, meaningless details.

Beginning the second part of our date, I just allow Kuroo to lead me through the different parts of Tokyo for a while, trusting that he knew where he was going. While sightseeing, I kept my eyes open for any fun activities, but right now, I felt most joy in walking by his side and letting him show me a part of his world in the big city.

He must have take into account how interested in was in street stores when we first got off the train. I had to use every ounce of self control I had to keep myself from buying everything I laid eyes on as he began weaving us in and out of random stores that looked interesting, but after about half an hour we had already collected an armfull of bags. I didn't think much of it, though. My dad did give me a whole wad of cash to spend tonight before I left, telling me to just go out and have fun. How could I pass up and opportunity like this?

Even if the money was supposed to be for my own interests, I couldnt stop myself from finding some gifts for my friends, considering how much they did for me tonight.

One of the first things I found was a giant collection of different pictures from around Japan, knowing Mika would adore studying the different angles and aesthetics within each one. The pack also came with a book full of both photography and video camera tips, which both Mika and Kiyomi would love to read. For Etsuka, I knew I had found the perfect gift when my eyes caught a T-shirt that said 'Warning: small girl with a fiery temper' on the front, and I couldn't help but buy it for my fun-sized Libero. Isozaki was way too easy to shop for, I just needed to get her a pack of makeup, complete with new brushes and supplies from a popular cosmetic company. Lastly, I ran across the newest album from a band that Shinobu likes, and even if I knew she would despise me for buying for her, I did it anyways knowing perfectly well how annoyed she would be at my kindness.
