"Kimie! Front left!" I call, pointing across the net to the bald kid, Tanaka, who was already winding his arm back for a spike.

We were in the middle of our second game with Karasuno, which would also be our last before finally calling it a night. They had so much fun earlier with our first makeup game that they practically fought to be able to play us again at the end of the day, a chance we eagerly accepted. To be honest, I can't remember the time when a team actually wanted to play us, let alone for a second time, but just watching my team as they flowed naturally on the court made everything we've went through these last few days all worth it.

Karasuno definitely proved to be a hard team to beat for us. The super quick that the two first years deployed, the one that had pinned us to the floor, was extremely difficult to overcome, but thankfully they only happened every few chances the crows were given, and we just came to consider it a fun challenge. One round, we actually asked if the boys could do another fast attack just to see if we could figure out how to defend it. Honestly, though, nobody really seemed to focus on team tactics this time around, they were just busy enjoying the game.

The middle blocker hears my warning and rushes forward with Nomura following close behind from the back row. Before Tanaka's hand came in contact with they ball, their arms were already locked over his head, creating an impenetrable cage with their iron claws.

I guess that may have been speaking too soon. Our blockers had enough strength to lessen the balls power, but the spike was just hard enough to break through their claws and arch toward the middle of the court.

Miyu had been put on the back row for this game to cover for our injured wolf, Etsuka. Receiving wasn't her ideal position on the court, but nobody could deny she was amazing at it, and I was proud of her for stepping up in the place of another teammate when they needed her to. "Mine!" She announces quickly, dropping her body down under the ball and pushing it upward on contact, sending it perfectly to Shinobu.

Ren was waiting by the net for the spike this time, winding back her arm for another powerful hit. The North Pole would have been able to hear the growl that escaped her throat as she slams her palm into the ball, firing it over the net and down into the crow's side of the court. Their Libero, Noya, came close to saving the point but was only a second too late as the ball ricocheted off his arm and pinballing into the bleachers.

"Take that, Karasuno!" Ren exclaims, throwing up both her fists in triumph as the rest of the team overlaps with their victory howls. I could tell she was enjoying our freedom the most, considering how much she loved showing off just how obnoxious she could be to the other teams, and the boys were getting a kick out of every second of it.

After Noya had picked himself up from the floor again, he runs over to the area of the net where our Ripper stood gloating. "I've never seen someone spike that hard! What are you, some kind of superhuman?"

There was a slight pause as Ren comes to a stop in front of his gaze, feeling a bit of fear that she had done something wrong again. We were all completely stunned when a wide smile breaks out onto his face as he responds with a tone full of admiration. "Whatever you are, you're awesome!"

I stared wide eyed as the two players shared a brisk high five under the net, Ren just elated to have her strength complimented for once. "You gotta show me your tricks! My arm hurts so bad I can barely feel it!" Noya continues excitedly, extending his limb to show the giant red whelp that was forming just below his elbow.

Ren lets out a throaty laugh as she also hold out her sore hand. "Take a look at me! I've spiked so many times my hand is starting to look as red as the blood!"

As those two continued their fanboy/fangirl session, everyone's attention was brought back to the game by a sharp double whistle from above. Confused, I swirl around to the scoreboard and finally noticed that the game had drawn to and end after that last point, with Katsushika coming it victorious with a score of thirty-eight to thirty-six. When my gaze turned back to face the team, I expected an explosion of cheers like usual, but they all seemed to have the same confused look on their face as I did.
