Waiting for these last few days to pass felt like the longest years of my life. We tried our best to make the time fly, keeping ourselves distracted with extra practicing so we could be prepared for the coming game, but in the end, none of us could keep our eyes off the clock, just want the day to be over so they ends could come.

Finally, Wednesday arrived, and I don't think I've ever gotten out of bed faster than I did, even if it was at the crack of dawn. We were all supposed to meet at the school at 5am so we could get in the road as quickly as possible, not wanting to waste one second of the day that we could use to spend time with Katsushika.

My excitement resulted in me being extremely early, and I had to basically break into Kenma's house to get him out of bed after seeing that he wasn't waiting outside to greet me like he always is. After ten minutes of struggle, I had finally coaxed him out the door and down to the school, where everyone else waited to begin the trip.

The ride would only take around an hour to get up the mountains, and after everyone shook off their exhaustion, the bus was full of lively conversation as we counted down the seconds till we arrived. It was clear to see that my team had no worries on their mind, but I couldn't help but constantly stare at my reflection in the bus window, sometimes running my fingers through the tangled mess atop my head to see if, by some miracle, I could get the spikes to lie flat. Out of all the days to have a bedhead, I had to have the worst one today!

This may be our first actual practice visit with the Katsushika girls today, but there were other things in my mind to be excited about... and to worry my ass off over.

"Oi, Kuroo!" I hear someone call from a few rows behind me, and I couldn't stop myself from groaning as I turn to see Yaku, poking his short head over the seats. "You trying to look your best for your girlfriend?"

A strong tingle of electricity was sent shooting down my spine at the g-word, and it was clear that the other boys around us seen how flustered I instantly became as they busted out laughing. "She's not my girlfriend!" I hissed, pushing myself up from the window and swirling around to face them in my seat.

That was probably a bad decision, considering I could feel my face gaining a small hint of red that was already pretty noticeable.

While many of them continued to stare at me with teasing eyes, I just ignored their stupid looks as I lay my head lifelessly on my arms that were propped up on the headrest. "At least... she isn't my girlfriend yet. I haven't exactly asked her."

A loud scoff was able to be heard off to the side. "Seriously?" Tora exclaimed, leaning his shoulder up against the cool glass of the window as he sat straight up on his knees. "You guys have been calling each other nonstop for the past few days now, and you still don't have the balls to pop the question?"

I throw him a small glare. "Asking someone to be your girlfriend is a huge dead. I can't just do it over the phone!"

"Kuroo's right, girls hate that!" Inuoka pointed out from the row behind Tora. "Doing it face to face apparently has more meaning to them."

That statement made all of us let out a collective, aggravated sigh. This was just one of the many thousands of unspoken rules that women had. Jeez, it was already hard enough trying to figure out what girls like and don't like, we all felt that struggle, but my girl just had to be the one who was different than all the others. Akiraa was a puzzle all her own, and a complicated one at that. It's going to take some time before I can be able to decode that brilliant mind of hers.

Yaku was the one to bring us back into focus again, turning his head to the side to meet my gaze. "Do you have any idea when you're going to ask her?"
