Bittersweet Notions Of Forever
Chapter 12: Boys Will Be Boys (Part 1/2)
Soo Hyuk had been quite silent on your way to his friend's house. You sighed and looked outside the view as you passed by the buildings. You wondered about how far it was.
Then Soo Hyuk drove to Gangnam and you figured that you would be there soon. You stole a glance at him, and noticed how he was just paying attention on driving. Then his phone suddenly rang, and he accepted the call, which went through the speakers.
A young female spoke "Hello."
You frowned and your attention was on the call, automatically, not that you wanted to listen. His call was on speaker after all. But her voice was bright and she sounded like she made it extra bright and sweet. The effort in sounding cute, was clear to you. From the perspective of a woman. You could tell.
"Hello, Minah-ssi." He replied with that deep voice of his.
"Hello Director Lee." She chimed.
"I called to say that the papers are in your office. Mr. Wook sent me the papers. You can sign them, when you meet at work." She said.
You furrowed your brows slightly and looked out the street. She was obviously just an employee from his hotel.
Minah? Director.. paper work?? What paper work?
Soo Hyuk replied her- "Alright, thanks. Good job." He said and the woman behind the call giggled, suddenly.
Why is she gigging!? What is so funny? You rolled your eyes at her fake bright giggle.
"I'm just doing my job, Director." She said in a bright tone, sounding so happy, because he praised her.
You turned your face at your husband and studied his look. You noticed how he smiled to himself, for a short moment. The he laughed suddenly.
"Alright then, see you tomorrow, Minah-ssi." He said and finally hung up.
You tilted your head to the side and moved your attention on the passing streets. You made a face, secretly. He seemed to be such a womanizer, or just every woman was weak for him, you scoffed.
Soo Hyuk suddenly looked at you and you happened to meet his gaze. He had a blank expression as he looked at you. You blinked a couple of times and looked on him for a few seconds. Then you quickly lowered your face. The sudden eye-contact made your heart skip a beat.
You looked down on your phone and pretended to look at something. He quickly looked away and just focused on driving.
You finally made it to Gangnam, where Woo Bin's house and you could hear the loud music and see the lights from the house and you froze as you looked out. You thought it was just a hang-out night with his friends, but the many cars that were lined up outside Woo Bin's house told you otherwise.
Soo Hyuk parked his car in his friend's garage and he stole a glance at you. "We are here." He said in a deep tone and you nodded.
You were getting more nervous now, somehow. The fact that some other people were there and friends of Soo Hyuk, made you feel slightly anxious. You took a deep breath and got out of the car.
Once you were out of the car, you instantly looked up at the modern- like contemporary house with glass windows, in front of you. Woo Bin's house. It was clearly a bachelor kind of house. The lights were on and it illuminated the place. His house stood out amongst the other houses in the neighborhood.
