Bittersweet Notions Of Forever
Chapter 47: Lee Hyuk Enterprises Anniversary
The hall shone from the bright chandeliers on the ceiling. It looked luxurious and grand. You could hear people chatting and the sounds of the clicks their glasses made, whenever they made a toast.
You walked around the place and greeted some of the people. You gulped hard, as you felt his eyes on you.
Soo Hyuk was standing at a corner and he was speaking to a few people. You came to the party separately. And he had been busy with everyone else ever since he stepped into the hall.
It was the first time you were in the same room after weeks of not seeing each other, nor speaking together. You almost felt like strangers in this place.
Your eyes met a couple of times, but none of you had the opportunity to walk up and talk. You didn't have the courage to face him and confront him either.
Although you could feel his eyes on you, and his eyes said that he wanted to approach you. You could feel his eyes on you from afar, and whenever you had the opportunity, you stole a glance at him.
You tried to find words to describe his eyes that were so dark and compelling. He could consume you, you could drown in his dark ocean eyes and you wanted to, oh, so badly.
He stood across the hall with a champagne glass in his hand, and he took a sip. Even the way he drank was so hot and attractive.
And damn him, he looked so fine in his black formal suit that probably was a Tom Ford. He wore a Cartier watch on his wrist, it was a gold watch with brown leather straps.
Along with his dazzling suit, he wore black Saint Laurent leather shoes. And his coal black hair war slicked back.
He was dressed in all black, and he always looked so good in black. It was like black was his shade.
You liked that hairstyle on him a lot, and he had a fresh cut on his sides. You had obviously checked him out from head to toe.
You walked past some people and smiled to them, when a group of young business men called out for you, suddenly.
"Lee Nara." They said.
You stopped abruptly and gazed at them. You had to greet them, even though you felt so awkward. You didn't know these guys, and you had never seen them before either. Nevertheless, you walked up to them, and greeted them.
These guys seemed nice and cool, and they chatted about themselves mostly. These young men were dressed in suits and tuxedos, in grey, blue and black colors. They wore shiny leather shoes, and expensive watches. Their hair was pulled back, and some had a side parting. Overall, they exuded charisma, and boyish charms.
They were clearly all business men, as you heard them talk about stocks and anything in the line of 'boring business's talk'.
However, as soon as you stepped in, the topic about stocks and anything business related was off the shelf. Instead, they talked about themselves, and they were so curious about getting to know you, especially the guy in the middle named Seung Ho.
"There's really nothing much to say about me." You said after they asked about you.
You smiled awkwardly and you pulled a hair strand behind your ear. You gazed on the ground, and bit on your bottom lip.
