Chapter 86: True Colors
The slow melody, smooth and soft vocals of the song filled the office. You moved to the beat. Your eyes shone, your smile couldn't leave your face, and you giggled to yourself.
You were in a good mood today. You felt relieved and happy, because you were finally done with your uniforms for Soo Hyuk's resort. You were content with the results and couldn't wait for the Director to show up.
It had been long hours, days, weeks, and months. The project was finalized, and you only needed to finish your presentation now. Then you could present your uniform for the upcoming board meeting.
It always felt nice, when you managed to finish a project, it left you with a good feeling inside and you almost felt completed yourself. You could finally relax a bit. You felt giddy somehow and wanted Soo Hyuk to see the final result.
You needed his opinion and final approval. You chewed on your bottom lip, and dialed the number to his office.
You paced back and forth in your office, and you wondered if he was in his office, or at a meeting. You wanted to call him first and make sure that he had time.
After a few seconds, the call was answered, and you heard the familiar light tone, and you scrunched your nose.
"Min Ah-ssi?" You called.
"Creative director?" She said in a dry tone, sounding tired somehow, and you rolled your eyes.
"Is Soo Hyuk in his office?" You asked.
There was a short moment of silence.
"Yes." She said, dryly.
"Please direct the call to him, thank you." You said.
"Is there something I can help you with? He is a bit busy right now." She said.
The more she acted this way, made you think that she doesn't like you. You sighed deeply.
"No, I need to speak with him, now. Direct the call to him, or I'll call him on my personal phone." You said in a clear tone.
"He is busy. And director, I must say, you shouldn't call him on his private phone, when he is working." She said once more.
"Excuse me, it is not up to you to decide, when I call him on his private phone. Now, this is work related. Direct the call to the Director." You ordered.
"Yes, creative director." She said and she finally directed the call to your husband.
You paced back and forth as the seconds passed. He quickly answered the call. His deep tone made your heart race.
"This is Lee Hyuk Soo." He said.
"Director?" You said in a bright tone, unable to hide your joy.
"Yes, director." He replied back with an amused tone. He seemed to have caught onto the change of your voice. You suppressed your giggles.
"Can you come by for a final review?" You asked.
"A final review?" He asked, sounding surprised and taken back. Your heart began to pound harder against your chest.
"Yes, I am done with the uniforms, and I need your consent, sir." You said.
"In that case, I am coming down now, director." He said.
"Alright, see you in a bit." You beamed and hung up the call.
