Bittersweet Notions Of Forever
Chapter 32: HJH Café (Part 1/2)
"Wait.. what are you saying?" Soo Hyuk asked as he furrowed his brows in confusion.
"Come to the café, and be a barista for the day with me." Jong Hyun repeated on the phone with his older friend.
Jong Hyun tried to persuade Soo Hyuk into being a barista at his new café for a day. He had opened his café two months ago, and was going to celebrate that, by inviting his friends.
Jong Hyun wanted Soo Hyuk to be there, solemnly because he knew it would be fun to work with him and it would also gather more people. He somehow could use his good friend, in a good way.
"You really think, I will look like a barista? I'm a director." Soo Hyuk breathed deeply and rolled his eyes tiredly.
"C'mon, I will prepare you for it. I'll show you how to brew coffee and serve. And you will definitely look like a barista once you get the uniform on." Jong Hyun continued, and he sulked, pleading his friend.
Soo Hyuk pursed his lip, biting back his laughter as his friend went on about how he could pull off the look of a barista and that he would help him make coffee.
"And you are a model, so you can pull off the barista concept. You don't need to be a professional barista either.. I said I will guide you through it." Jong Hyun continued and sighed deeply, "Hyung please."
A deep sigh escaped through his soft lips and he pursed his lips, as he pondered about it for a while. His younger friend kept on pressuring him on the phone.
Soo Hyuk was still at his office, but he would be getting off early from work today. It was only eleven am, and he would be off in an hour. He ran his hand through his hair messily.
Sometimes, Soo Hyuk wondered about his younger friend's mental age. It seemed like Jong Hyun's aging reversed at times, but that was one of his charms. He always acted like a kid around his older friends.
"Who will be there?" Soo Hyuk asked.
"The others and my co-workers, so we won't be alone." Jong Hyun replied quickly, with clear hope in his tone.
He could tell by the tone in Jong Hyun's voice that he really wanted him to come, it was hard to say no to Jong Hyun. He was the outgoing and bubbly young friend and always had his way somehow.
"Come on, come on, man. Don't back out, it will be fun." He continued.
Jong Hyun walked around in his café, as he prepared the things. He wouldn't be opening until later, and he had to put out a board in front of the café, that showed his anniversary.
He had his phone resting on his shoulder, and his chin pressed down on it to balance it, whilst pulled out the chairs, multitasking.
"Alright then, I'll be there in an hour." Soo Hyuk said and sighed deeply, wondering about what he had gotten himself into.
He really couldn't say no to his friend. Jong Hyun grinned and his smile reached to his eyes. He felt the excitement and was happy, because he wanted to celebrate this with his close friends.
"The others will be joining us." Jong Hyun added.
"Great." Soo Hyuk replied and let out a chuckle, when he sensed the joy in his younger friend's tone.
"Just admit that you are using us for publicity." Soo Hyuk added with a grin.
Jong Hyun frowned and grabbed the phone properly and he placed the broom from him and yelled in the phone, "Yah, Hyung."
