Bittersweet Notions Of Forever
I Need To Feel You
Chapter 73
Multiple white papers flooded on his desk, taking up all the space and he stared at the stuff, jaw clenched so tightly, his veins protruded, and his nostrils flared as he breathed sharply.
More tasks and projects seemed to come knocking on his door, asking to be let in, or rather barging in without a warning, and he had no ways of saying no.
"I am really sorry, sir. I wish I could help you somehow." The red-haired secretary said with a saddened tone and look in her eyes.
Soo Hyuk's eyes averted up to the red-haired woman, meeting her saddened look, and he shrugged.
He furrowed his brows, and shook his head. Then he stood up from his desk and grabbed the documents.
"There's nothing much to do. I'm going to go see the old man." He said and clenched his jaw at the latter part.
The older woman stared at him and fixed her posture, when he walked out with a determined and hard look on his face. She turned around quickly and stared at her boss.
"I am afraid that you will break down at one point, sir." She said, and his steps came to a sudden halt.
He spun around and faced his secretary. He narrowed his eyes by a millimeter, furrowed his brows, drawing them closer, and his jaw clenched. He breathed deeply through his nostrils.
"Do you also think that I am weak?" He asked calmly.
"No, sir. I'm sorry, sir, if it came out wrong." She quickly bowed, and he narrowed his eyes further.
"I'll see you in a bit." He said, and he left his office.
The department was full of busy employees, and the room became quiet as soon as he entered. Everyone stood up from their desks, and stopped with whatever they were doing. He nodded to the employees whom he passed by.
Then he opened the door to an office, and he stepped in. The older man who was seated at his desk stood up right away.
"Director."
"Mr. Han. I need you to go through this file and tell my dad that I am not taking more of his assignments. I am too busy with my own work." Soo Hyuk said in a clear tone.
The older man, who was his father's secretary breathed deeply, and he had look of helplessness, and then he bowed.
"I'm sorry sir, but the CEO said that you have to do this." The older man looked rather apologetic.
He pursed his lips into a thin line, making the lines around his lips deepen including the wrinkle on his forehead. He sighed deeply, and Soo Hyuk averted his eyes.
"Where is the old man?" Soo Hyuk asked, and he breathed deeply.
"Your father should be in his office." Secretary Han replied to which Soo Hyuk nodded.
Soo Hyuk then opened the door to his father's office and entered the place. Like he had expected, his old father and boss sat at his desk.
"What are you doing here?" His father finally asked, when he looked up and discovered his son in his office unexpectedly.
The old man seemed taken back upon seeing him, but Soo Hyuk was fazed. He strode up to his boss in a few long strides.
The moment Soo Hyuk stopped in front of the desk. He placed the files on his father's desk, and breathed deeply, ignoring the coldness in his father's tone.
