Bittersweet Notions Of Forever

Chapter 29: Faded

The house was silent, almost like a desert, and you could hear the wind blow from outside and the sound of the branches move. It seemed like a storm was approaching.

You walked further down the corridor that led to the open living room and kitchen area. The long corridor was dimmed, but the light from the living room was on and lit up the place, and you followed to the light.

Your heart somehow began to race, as you suddenly remembered Sung Joon's words from earlier on the day.

Sung Rok totally questioned your abilities and Soo Hyuk shut his mouth.

The corner of your mouth curved up and you pursed your lips. Soo Hyuk stood up for you for the first time, and the giddiness inside you appeared.

Whether he did it to protect you or not, it didn't matter to you right now. All that mattered was just the fact that he stood up for you and it warmed a place in your heart, and your heart jump.

You stopped in your tracks, when you saw him sitting on the couch in the living room. His attention was on the television and he was watching the news. It was interesting to see him in this light.

It was your first time seeing him on the couch and watch television. You rarely even saw each other at home, as both of you are busy people.

Soo Hyuk had been home for an hour, and he kept thinking about how Joon Hee showed up at his office earlier, and how he shoved her off coldly.

He had never been that pissed at her, and seen her act that rash. Joon Hee made him feel angry for what she had done- dating Sung Rok, his cousin whom he disliked.

And the way she acted towards him, clinging to him, and shouting at his workplace made his insides twist of disgust. Her behavior was the kind he disliked, he disliked seeing women act clingy and needy.

Joon Hee always knew that the two of them didn't have a future together as his parents would never accept her.

Joon Hee stopped caring about his parents and what people around him would say after his marriage. The scene she caused at his office today, was out of line and dramatic, and it made him not want to see her for a long while.

The mere thought of it made him angry, and he breathed deeply and ran his hand down the lenght of his face. He thought about how to settle things. What have I gotten myself into? He tilted is head back and closed his eyes.

He let out another deep sigh, and didn't want to think about it. The mere thought of Joon Hee gave him a pounding headache.

Ever since he got married, she had acted out of line and not been herself. He began to wonder just what kind of women she is. His brows deepened as he thought again.

Your heartbeat accelerated as your steps neared him, seconds by seconds, and your body was moving on its own somehow. You had lost control of your body. Then you finally stopped behind him, his broad shoulders faced you.

Your hands moved on its down, down his firm chest and you felt him instantly tense up at the feel of your touch and it made your heart skip a beat. You could feel how his hard chest turned firm at your touch, and his breathing stopped for a second.

Soo Hyuk instantly shut his eyes tightly, when he felt your familiar soft and petite hands run down his firm and broad chest. Instantly, you shut his mind off of things.

He heaved a deep sigh, when your hands moved back up slowly and down his chest. You caressed him gently and yet in a provocative manner that made his blood run faster in his veins and his body heat up. He swalloed hard.
