Bittersweet Notions Of Forever
Chapter 24: Can't Get You Out Of My Mind
You were back home in the Floating house after being at Soo Hyuk's parents house. He had gone to work and you were alone home.
You were still high over last night and this morning. Everything felt so unreal, surrealistic, like a dream, you name it.
You couldn't believe it happened and how you finally connected with him. You covered your face as your cheeks flushed and your face heated up at the thought of it.
You fanned yourself, because you were getting giddy. You walked down the corridor to your room. You needed to get changed and out of your dress.
It suddenly rang on your doorbell and you froze. You walked back and looked at the security camera and saw that it was a man in a uniform. You went down and opened the door for him.
He bowed and greeted you. "Hello. I'm here to change your locks." He said, and you nodded.
The older man, probably aged forty, walked up and he entered the house. You walked back up and he began to do his work.
It seemed like Soo Hyuk finally called for someone to change the lock, you figured. You felt relieved somehow.
This meant that Joon Hee wouldn't be able to barge into your house anymore, although she never came back after that day.
You smiled to yourself and went to get changed. You finally got out of your dress and looked at it. Your cheeks warmed up yet again, because the dress reminded you of last night.
You heaved a deep sigh and you wondered about what he was doing right now and was he also thinking about the pair of you.
Soo Hyuk was at a meeting. He listened to one of the interns speak about his ideas for the new resort in Jeju Island that was soon opening.
But Soo Hyuk's mind was elsewhere. He bit on his bottom lip, and played with his pen as he looked out with a blank expression.
He smiled, thinking about your shy smile and look. How you held onto him, kissed him, touched him and how it felt to be inside you.
Last night was basically wonderful and he hadn't felt like this before. He hadn't excepted that sleeping with you would be this great.
He almost felt like he had those butterflies in his stomach, and he felt giddy. He chewed on his lip and thought about this morning as well that was good.
Sung Joon was at the meeting as he too is a business man, and a represent from his father's company.
He looked at his older friend and noticed how he was distant minded. His mind was clearly elsewhere.
Sung Joon discretely nudged Soo Hyuk's shoulder, trying to get his attention. Soo Hyuk looked towards his friend with a puzzled look.
At the meeting, Soo Hyuk's cousin Sung Rok was also present. He kept an eye on Soo Hyuk, once in a while.
He too noticed that Soo Hyuk seemed to be a little distant minded. He wanted to take advantage of that somehow.
Soo Hyuk quickly gathered himself after Sung Joon nudged his arm. He realized that he had been zoning-out.
He rarely zoned-out on his meetings. He hid his grin. He took a sip from his coffee and sighed.
Soo Hyuk didn't get much sleep last night, because of you. He had a hard time sleeping beside you and had to endure his frustration as it was your first time, and he couldn't just do what he wanted as he had to consider you.
